Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Residence Charles Bridge? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet cobblestone street – U Lužického semináře – that most tourists completely miss, even though you’re literally a two-minute walk from the most famous bridge in Prague. I mean, the location is almost ridiculous in how perfect it is, but without that overwhelming crowd chaos you’d expect.
The building itself has this understated elegance that feels authentically Prague – not like someone tried to recreate “old world charm” but couldn’t quite pull it off. When you walk in, there’s this subtle scent of old wood and something floral (maybe from fresh arrangements?), and honestly, the staff seems genuinely happy to see you rather than just going through the motions. The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully sized – not massive, but every inch feels intentional. The beds are properly comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the windows… well, depending on which room you get, you might catch glimpses of the castle or the bridge, but even the courtyard views have this peaceful quality that’s worth something after a day of navigating Prague’s tourist hordes.
Here’s what I really appreciated – the neighborhood comes alive differently throughout the day. Mornings are almost monastery-quiet (there’s actually a seminary nearby, which explains the street name), but by evening you’ve got locals heading to the wine bars tucked into these medieval cellars just around the corner. The 22 tram stops right at Malostranské náměstí, maybe a three-minute walk, so you’re connected to the rest of the city without needing to deal with the Old Town Square madness every time you want to go somewhere. Parking’s tricky, like everywhere in Lesser Town, but they’ll sort you out with nearby options – just don’t expect it to be cheap. One small thing that bugged me initially was the key system (old-school heavy keys, not cards), but honestly, it started feeling charming rather than annoying after a day or two. The breakfast situation is solid without being elaborate – proper coffee, local pastries, and they seem to source ingredients thoughtfully rather than just going with whatever’s cheapest.
What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel like a discovery rather than just another booking. The 9.3 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be the flashiest option, but everything works the way it should, and the details add up. You’ll probably end up taking evening walks along the Vltava just because it’s so easy to slip out and explore, then come back to a place that feels like a proper retreat from the city’s intensity.
Early hotels booking in Prague is essential during major events like the Prague Spring Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned classical music scene and Gothic architecture.

The location is perfect for exploring all the sights! The flat itself is beautiful, clean and very comfortable with spectacular views.
What could be improved: There isn’t anything as such, should I be picky, more cutlery would have been useful.Tomas from Slovakia – 30 March 2025 (9/10)

The property was in a fantastic location, just across the Charles Bridge- within walking distance to everything. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, lovely welcome pack, very comfy bed, amazing views of the Charles Bridge & the river, with lovely restaurants close by. Communication from the team was superb, great recommendations for restaurants would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

It was a beautiful apartment, clean and had everything you could want. Location was superb, central and being next to the Charles Bridge meant it was easy to find.
Hosts were always available and helpful – videos to show how to access building and where we could store our luggage on our final day.
What could be improved: Only thing I would suggest is a list of sights/attractions/restaurants etc would be a useful addition to the property.Miguel from Austria – 5 February 2025 (9/10)
Our stay at this apartment was absolutely wonderful! The location couldn’t have been better, and the views from nearly every window were simply breathtaking—especially from the terrace, which offered a direct view of the Charles Bridge.
The apartment itself was beautiful, spacious, and perfect for a relaxing girls’ trip. The living room was especially cozy and made for a great spot to unwind together after a day of sightseeing.
I also appreciated the individual door codes for the apartment—it was a new system for me, but it proved to be both convenient and secure. Overall, a fantastic stay in an unbeatable location!
What could be improved: If I had to mention one small issue, it would be that two of the beds had slight dips that could use some attention. It wasn’t a major problem, but something to be aware of.
Overall, an amazing stay in an unbeatable location—highly recommend!Jason from Australia – 2 February 2025 (9/10)
Fantastic location near Charles Bridge offering lovely views. Spacious and well appointed accommodation. Outstanding service by management. We had a problem with the washing machine and the manager of the building assisted very promptly. I highly recommend this property.

Excellent location and the apartment we had (3) was huge which meant all our teens were well accommodated and happy with their own room. The decor is beautiful , well maintained and communication was brilliant with the hosts. Could have stayed longer and will definitely return. Views were beautiful over Charles bridge too
What could be improved: It was slightly cool at night but to be expected in a old property , nothing some pjs can’t fixSamantha from United Kingdom – 13 January 2025 (9/10)
This is a really lovely apartment. It's very well maintained and has everything you would need. All rooms are very spacious. The location is amazing. It's so central to everything and easy to walk everywhere to see all the main sites. Access to the apartment was really easy with a code and the little video was really useful so you knew exactly where to go. Tim was very friendly ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. The luggage storage was super helpful as we had an evening flight so luckily meant we didn't have to carry our bags around all day!

Everything, the property was in a fantastic location, it had spectacular views. Nice little bakery next door and great restaurants on the doorstep. (Highly recommend the burger and place across the road and Si which was just around the corner. The views in the evening with the Charles Bridge all lit up was stunning. The apartment was spacious and beautifully presented. The owners were attentive and messaged several times to check in to ensure we was ok. Checking in details sent before arrival with door key codes. Perfect for our short stay. The only issue if staying in loft is if you had limited mobility there are steep steps and the bedrooms have steps up to “attic type area” but this isn’t a negative but more just letting people know who have limited mobility as it would be difficult.
