Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Relax Apartment on Libušská street, I wasn’t expecting much from what looks like a pretty standard residential building in Prague’s Kamýk district. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you from the outside.

The thing about this place is that it actually lives up to its name. I mean, you’re staying in what feels like a proper Prague apartment, not some cookie-cutter hotel room with generic art on the walls. The space has that lived-in comfort that makes you want to kick off your shoes and settle in for more than just a night or two. And honestly, that 8.7 rating isn’t just numbers – there’s something genuinely relaxing about being tucked away in this quieter part of the city. You’re still in Prague (about 20 minutes to Old Town by tram), but you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of tourists rolling suitcases over cobblestones at all hours. The 142 tram line runs pretty regularly from nearby, and I actually found myself enjoying those rides into the center – gives you a chance to see how locals live beyond the tourist bubble.

What really sold me on the place was the attention to practical details that only matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The kitchen setup actually works (I made coffee every morning without wanting to throw anything), there’s proper storage space for your stuff, and – this might sound small but trust me – the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes like so many places do. The neighborhood itself is sort of perfectly unremarkable in the best way possible. There’s a decent grocery store within walking distance, a few local pubs where you won’t pay tourist prices, and honestly, it just feels like a real slice of Prague life. I mean, sure, it’s not going to blow you away with fancy amenities or concierge service – it’s a 3-star place and knows what it is. But sometimes that’s exactly what you want, especially if you’re planning to actually explore the city rather than hang around the hotel all day. The value here is solid, and after staying in overpriced places in Wenceslas Square that felt like fancy boxes, there was something refreshing about a place that focused on being comfortable rather than Instagram-worthy. If you’re the type who appreciates having your own space to decompress after long days of sightseeing, and you don’t need someone to carry your bags or arrange dinner reservations, this spot delivers exactly what it promises.

Early hotels booking in Prague is essential during major events like the Prague Spring Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned classical music scene and Gothic architecture.

  Nice hosts, quickly responding and accommodating. Party of 6 people felt spacious enough. Had everything we needed. Free gated parking. About 20 min drive to the old town. Grocery store and a little eatery is 2-3 min walk. Asian market is nearby.

  Only one entrance/exit to the territory through a large gate.

  Very comfortable and plenty of room. Hosts were very responsive (coffee pot was missing and they delivered one that day!!). Gate surrounding property so always felt safe and no worry of vehicles being vulnerable. Easy access to public transport.
  
  What could be improved: Missing some kitchen basics like wine and can opener. On a bit of a busy road, just an FYI, but gate around property so you don’t have to worry about kids wandering out on it.

  It's good for family stay, kind of far from city but it's well refurbished and maintained apartment.
  
  What could be improved: Note this is not a hotel with receptionist or so. They will send you an email with a code to a key holder box, you need to get the key and open the main gate yourself. Wish I could know the process in advance. There is no sign where is the box neither a name on the building so you need to guess which is Relax Hotel. I have uploaded some pho so you can get a better picture where is the key box and the main gate.
  Don't expect breakfast or meal as well, and you need to clean the kitchen before you leave, otherwise they change you.
