You know what struck me first about Rašínovo nábřeží – Riverside Residence? It’s actually right there on the riverbank, not just claiming to be “near the water” like half the hotels in Prague. I mean, you step out the front door and you’re literally on the embankment with the Vltava flowing right in front of you. The building itself has this understated elegance – it’s not trying too hard to be flashy, which honestly feels refreshing in a city where every other place is going for that over-the-top baroque vibe.

What really sells this place is the location, but not in the way most people think. Sure, you’re close to the major sights – Charles Bridge is maybe a 10-minute walk upstream, and you can see the castle looming across the water. But here’s the thing locals know: this stretch of the embankment is where Prague actually breathes. Early mornings, you’ll see joggers and dog walkers, not tour groups. There’s something almost meditative about watching the river traffic – those little tour boats chugging by, the occasional kayaker. The tram stop is right there too (lines 17 and 18), which honestly makes getting around the city so much easier than dealing with taxis or trying to figure out the metro from some tucked-away side street. I actually found myself using the riverside path as my main route into the Old Town – it’s this gorgeous walk that most tourists never discover because they’re too busy following the crowds.

The rooms have this thing where they feel properly European without being cramped, if that makes sense. Not huge by American standards, but thoughtfully laid out with these tall windows that actually open (remember when that was normal?). The ones facing the river – well, you’re paying extra but it’s worth it for the morning light alone. Staff-wise, they seem to actually know Prague, not just the hotel. When I asked about a good place for goulash that wasn’t touristy, the front desk guy pointed me toward this spot in Vinohrady that ended up being perfect. Little things like that matter when you’re trying to get a real feel for a city. The 8.8 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind with crazy amenities, but everything works the way it should, the beds are actually comfortable, and there’s this sense that they understand what business travelers and thoughtful tourists actually want. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the neighborhood gets genuinely quiet at night. You’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from Wenceslas Square that you’re not dealing with bachelor parties stumbling around at 2 AM.

  They provide all kitchenware to use so that we can cook easily as we want. Included a large bathroom and have a good view to outside. Only 1.5 km to Charles’s bridge walkable distance.

  What could be improved: Before we arrived we couldn't py the deposit of 200!!€ and so we didn't get the check in code and had to wait on the street in front of the door. We had to sort this out via phone call and then paid the deposit but when we entered the apartment, it wasn't even ready equipped!!! Within a short time after arriving the cleaning lady came and brought soup and things to wash the dishes (had to ask and to translate via phone as they didn't speak any English) and pots and so on!! Just to clarify I paid a deposit and was therefore liable for the apartment to be fully equipped while it was not!!!
  Ob top of that 5 mins later the janitor came in because the light and the TV and the wifi and heating didn't work, so he had to fix this and walked in with STREET shoes, yayyyy! And we were kinda bound to the apparent even though we wanted to go explore the city!
  The light was being weird while we were there as we couldn't switch it off separately (from our beds or just the living room)
  Also there are no basic things provided like coffee, just a machine where you have to find capsules for and that are not sold in an amount that is OK for a short stay) also no salt, pepper or other basics like I'm used to. And soap and dish soup only on request.
  Also no electrical outlets next to the bed.

  Tutto molto Bello, struttura a pochissimo passi dalla dancing house. A piedi circa 15 min dal centro. Ottima vista sul fiume davanti il molo 2. Stanza moderna e pulita arredata con buon gusto
