Ramada Prague City Centre Overview

Honestly, when I first walked into the Ramada on Wenceslas Square, I wasn’t expecting much – I mean, it’s a Ramada, right? But this place actually surprised me. The location is pretty much unbeatable if you want to be in the thick of Prague’s action. You’re literally on Václavské náměstí, which sounds fancy but it’s just the Czech name for Wenceslas Square, and trust me, you’ll be saying it wrong for your entire stay (I still do).

What struck me right away was how the hotel manages to feel like a proper business hotel without being stuffy about it. The lobby’s got this clean, modern vibe that doesn’t try too hard, and the staff genuinely seemed to know their stuff about the city – not just the touristy bits. I asked about getting to Vinohrady for dinner one night, and the desk clerk actually gave me walking directions through the side streets instead of just pointing me toward the metro. The rooms are solid 4-star territory, nothing that’ll blow your mind but comfortable beds and good shower pressure, which honestly matters more than fancy marble when you’ve been walking around Prague’s cobblestones all day. You know what I appreciated? The windows actually block out most of the square’s noise, because let me tell you, Wenceslas Square doesn’t really sleep, especially during summer evenings when the outdoor terraces are going strong.

The thing about staying right on the square is that you’re maybe a three-minute walk from the National Museum (which is actually worth seeing after its renovation), and you can stumble back from dinner in the Old Town without dealing with trams or taxis. I found myself using the hotel as a base camp – dropping off shopping bags, grabbing a quick coffee in their lobby, that sort of thing. It’s the kind of place where you check in once and then forget about hotel logistics because everything just works. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, and the breakfast room gets pretty crowded around 8:30 AM when all the business travelers are rushing out, but for the price point and location, it delivers exactly what it promises. I’d honestly stay here again, especially if I was doing a shorter Prague trip where I wanted to maximize my time wandering around rather than commuting from some boutique place in the suburbs.

Reviews of Ramada Prague City Centre

  • Tomoko from Japan – 28 September 2023 (8/10)

A few minutes walk to metro, 10 minutes walk to Prague main railway station even with a luggage,
good and nice receptionist, quick check-in and out,
clean and spacious room with air-conditioner,
    a good variety of amenity,
good elevator which works well and quick.

What could be improved: Nothing to complain!

  • Divya from India – 26 March 2025 (9/10)

Location is perfect, room is spacious. Staff was very cooperative during the checkin!

  • Ondrej from Sweden – 24 February 2025 (8/10)

Well, location is very good. Middle of the city.

What could be improved: Breakfast was ok in general, unfortunately bread was really bad. I mean really.
Location has some bad implication, too. Noise in the night (groups of screaming drunkards), construction noise during day. Also, I did not feel exactly safe outside after 10 p.m.
The room itself was standard hotel room. I expected a bit more from Ramada.

  • Michael from Australia – 22 February 2025 (8/10)

Nice hotel with interesting floor plan and easy to locate. Attentive reception and a clean well presented room with nice linen made for a nice stay. From reception you need to take the lift to the restaurant level and then walk down the hall for the lift to the rooms. Comfortably sized room with a small foyer for coats and luggage and good wifi. For the standard and the location it was fair value.

What could be improved: No complaints

  • Güzide from Turkey – 5 February 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: I stayed in room 517 of your hotel between 23-26 January. But unfortunately, I cannot say that my stay was comfortable. First of all, our room was extremely cold. Although the heating system was said to be working, it was not blowing hot air. On the other hand, your receptionist, Aneta, to whom we conveyed this situation, upset us with her extremely rude, arrogant attitudes. She was so far and unwilling to solve the problem. She should have offered us a new room. But it didn’t happen.Instead she said ‘I’m just receptionist not a mecanicien’. She should definitely not be working in the tourism sector, where hospitality and friendliness are the most important elements. On the other hand, big thanks to Mrs. Daniela for her constructive attitude.

  • Hossam from Egypt – 29 January 2025 (8/10)

Location is perfect, right in the city centre

What could be improved: Late check in

  • Eastwood's from United States – 17 January 2025 (8/10)

Great location between Old Town and the train station, right on Wenceslas Square!

What could be improved: Room furniture and decor was a bit dated.

  • Gayush from Austria – 12 January 2025 (8/10)

    super location

  • Robert from United Kingdom – 20 November 2024 (8/10)

The room was very quiet, bed very comfy, shower and bathroom very good

What could be improved: No tv channels in English
