Radisson Blu Hotel Prague Overview
Honestly, when I first walked into the Radisson Blu on Zitna Street, I wasn’t expecting much – I mean, it’s tucked into this somewhat corporate-feeling stretch of Nove Mesto, and from the outside it looks pretty standard. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in understated packages. The lobby actually impressed me with this clean, modern Czech design that doesn’t try too hard to be flashy, and the staff seemed genuinely happy to help rather than just going through the motions.
What really sold me on this place was the location – and I don’t mean that in the usual “convenient location” way every hotel claims. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Wenceslas Square, which sounds touristy but is actually perfect for grabbing late-night food or people-watching. More importantly, you can walk to the river and Old Town in about fifteen minutes, but you’re far enough away that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. The tram stop right outside is clutch too – line 22 will take you pretty much anywhere you want to go, including up to the castle. I stayed here during shoulder season in October, and the neighborhood felt authentically Prague-ish, with locals heading to work and actual Czech restaurants instead of just souvenir shops.
The rooms themselves are solid – nothing revolutionary, but everything works properly (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in European hotels). The beds are actually comfortable, the shower has decent water pressure, and the windows are well-insulated so street noise isn’t an issue. I particularly liked that they’ve got proper blackout curtains, which saved my sleep schedule after some long days exploring. The breakfast situation is pretty good too, though it gets crowded around 8:30 when all the business travelers descend at once – hit it earlier or later if you can. One small thing that annoyed me was the elevator situation during busy periods, but that’s honestly a minor complaint. With an 8.8 rating, this place consistently delivers what it promises without the pretentious attitude you sometimes get at five-star spots. If you want to stay somewhere that feels professionally run but not sterile, and puts you in the heart of things without the chaos, it’s a solid choice.

Ivan from Ukraine – 21 March 2025 (9/10)
Great location, walking distance to the center. Comfortable room, large balcony with a table and chairs facing the inner yard so no street noise during morning coffee. Great spacy shower, big bathroom. Very good bed, room service is very responsible, they helped me to order flowers to the room and in general the staff is very polite and helpful. Nice bar with room delivery.
What could be improved: Wifi signal is very weak on a balcony. Restaurant is not open at evenings but there are plenty of places to go to nearby.Rahul from Germany – 21 March 2025 (8/10)
Good location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms.
