Quentin Prague Hotel Overview

You know what struck me first about the Quentin Prague Hotel? It’s tucked right on Křižovnická Street, which honestly sounds intimidating to pronounce but is actually this perfectly positioned little street between Old Town Square and the Charles Bridge. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from both – I timed it because I’m that kind of traveler.

The building itself has this boutique feel that’s trying to be artsy without being pretentious about it. When you walk in, there’s definitely a contemporary vibe mixed with some Czech character, though it leans more modern than historic (which some people love, others not so much). The staff actually seemed to know what they were doing at check-in, which – let’s be honest – isn’t always a given at four-star places. What really impressed me was how they handled the constant stream of guests without making anyone feel rushed. The location means they’re busy pretty much all day, especially during summer when everyone’s doing the Old Town to Charles Bridge circuit.

Here’s the thing about staying right in this area – you’re going to hear some street noise, especially if you get a room facing Křižovnická. It’s not terrible, but Prague’s Old Town doesn’t exactly quiet down at midnight. The trade-off though? You can stumble back from dinner at U Fleku (that famous brewery that’s actually worth the tourist crowds) in about five minutes. And in the morning, you can grab coffee and pastries at any of the little places along Nerudova Street before the tour groups descend. I actually found myself using the hotel as a base to duck back to throughout the day – drop off shopping bags, freshen up, whatever – because it’s so centrally located.

The rooms are solid for what you’d expect from a four-star in this part of Prague. Nothing revolutionary, but they’ve clearly put thought into the details. Good water pressure in the shower (crucial after walking those cobblestones all day), decent Wi-Fi, and the beds are actually comfortable. Some of the bathrooms are a bit compact, but that’s pretty standard for European city hotels in older buildings. What I appreciated was that everything worked – lights, air conditioning, the safe. Sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case.

If you’re the type who needs to be within walking distance of everything touristy, this place nails it. The Astronomical Clock is practically next door, Wenceslas Square is an easy stroll, and you can walk to the castle district without breaking a sweat. Just be prepared to pay for that convenience – nothing around here is cheap, including the hotel rates. But honestly, for Prague, an 8.4 rating feels about right for the Quentin. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises: a comfortable, well-located base for exploring one of Europe’s most beautiful cities.

Reviews of Quentin Prague Hotel

  • Kathleen from Australia – 9 August 2023 (9/10)

The hotel was very close to where I wanted to go. Was easy to get around.

What could be improved: Nothing. Was very happy.

  • Alastair from United Kingdom – 31 March 2025 (9/10)

Great location. Near a metro line, easy to get to and from the airport. Tram stations nearby but is walkable to a lot of the main touristy activities.

Staff pleasant too. Room clean and bed comfortable.

    What could be improved: N/a

  • Erika from United Kingdom – 28 March 2025 (9/10)

Lovely, clean, modern room. Bed was so comfortable and the room was quiet

  • Molly from United States – 26 March 2025 (9/10)

Location is absolutely ideal!! The staff is super friendly and the room was always very clean, coffee supplies refilled, etc. We stayed 11 nights so had a room with a kitchenette: micro, sink, fridge. Very handy. If we had stayed for only a few nights we wouldn't have gotten the kitchenette. We absolutely loved the Quentin. Would stay again.

What could be improved: The pictures over the bed were a little spooky – people with no eyes – I would change them out.

  • Ethan from United Kingdom – 12 March 2025 (9/10)

    Great location, and spacious room

What could be improved: Not clear instructions on how to get in the building before check in – we had to wait for someone to come out

  • Hideo from United Kingdom – 10 March 2025 (9/10)

Fantastic location and very good value for money. Receptionist was very nice.

What could be improved: Some noise from outside traffic as our room on the fifth floor was along the street
Bath room floor was not perfectly clean.

  • Matthew from United Kingdom – 6 March 2025 (9/10)

We didn't have breakfast. The location was perfect. We would stay again. Our room was upgraded from a small double to a large double. It was a lovely surpisre. The room was massive and the bed huge! The room was at the front of the hotel, though, so I could hear the trams in the early hours. However, it isn't an unpleasant noise, so it didn't bother me.

    What could be improved: nothing!

  • Stephanie from United Kingdom – 22 February 2025 (9/10)

Really wonderful place and the staff (two guys who managed reception) were super helpful and very accommodating. They helped us a lot!

  • Pearl from Netherlands – 15 February 2025 (8/10)

Location was very central and great value for money.

  • Jeffrey from United Kingdom – 1 February 2025 (7/10)

Excellent position but poor access as on main road without parking and behind closed doors with stair to walk up to reception. A beautiful old building well renovated. Upgraded to a junior suite that was excellent. Clean, spacious and well designed.

What could be improved: Very clean. Modern bedroom and bathroom. Well designed. Excellent shower.
