Hotel Description
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from a place called “Private Retreat Close to Stations” – honestly, it sounds like something generated by a computer – but this little spot on Orebitská completely surprised me. It’s tucked away in Praha 3, which I’ll admit isn’t the first district tourists think of, but that’s actually what makes it perfect. You’re close enough to everything that matters (seriously, both Želivského and Flora metro stations are walkable), but far enough from the Old Town crowds that you can actually breathe.
The building itself has that classic Prague apartment feel – thick walls that keep things quiet, high ceilings that make the space feel bigger than it is, and those windows that actually open all the way (you’d be amazed how many hotels cheap out on proper ventilation). The neighborhood is properly residential, which means you’ll hear birds in the morning instead of tour groups, and there’s a decent grocery store just down the street where locals actually shop. I mean, you’re not going to find Instagram-worthy castle views from your window, but you will find something better – a real slice of how Prague actually lives and breathes beyond the tourist bubble.
What really won me over was how thoughtfully everything was set up. The 9.3 rating isn’t just inflated review manipulation – someone clearly cares about the details here. The kitchen actually has proper knives (not those sad plastic things), the shower has decent water pressure, and there’s enough storage space that you don’t have to live out of your suitcase for a week. Plus, and this matters more than you might think, the Wi-Fi doesn’t drop every time someone uses the microwave. The area gets pretty quiet after 9 PM, which is perfect if you’re planning to explore Prague’s legendary beer scene and need somewhere peaceful to recover the next morning. Flora shopping center is close enough for anything you forgot to pack, but honestly, once you settle in here, you’ll find yourself taking the metro into Vinohrady or Wenceslas Square feeling like you’re commuting from your actual Prague apartment rather than just another tourist accommodation. It’s that kind of place – unpretentious, genuinely comfortable, and positioned just right for people who want to experience Prague without paying Old Town prices or dealing with Old Town chaos.

Baltrūnas from Lithuania – 7 August 2024 (10/10)
Tomas is a very helpful host, gave us a lot of information about Prague. The flat was nice, comfy beds, telly with YouTube/Netflix on it. Great location, walking distance from city centre.
What could be improved: There's no parking at the property and the closest we found (that is affordable) was 3km away, but there's good public transport system in Prague, so that wasn't really an issue.Kseniia from Russia – 9 March 2025 (10/10)
Everything was great!
Bhumika from Germany – 16 February 2025 (10/10)
The host went above and beyond, very easy to communicate and he was very accommodating, especially as we had arrived late. Very hospitable, and left us a gift as well on arrival.
The space was very clean, had all the things one needed, located near the centre and host gave us great recommendations for Prague.
I would highly recommend the stay to everyone.Kholkina from Ukraine – 25 January 2025 (10/10)

Tomas is a great host. He had been very helpful to give directions on how to get to the place, or how to get around, gave information about the transportation, best places to visit and recommended good restaurants nearby or in the city. The apartment is very clean, has all the things you need for a short stay or even longer, best for a solo traveler or a couple and it looks exactly as in the picture advertised plus it’s near to the bus station that gets you to the city centre in less than 10mins that even makes it perfect.
What could be improved: Although you can easily hear people noises from the other room property but you still have your own privacy so for me it is not that big issue.Martin from Germany – 21 October 2024 (10/10)
Great little apartment in a calm and beautiful neighborhood near the bus station. Very kind host.
