Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Prague Roof Apartments? The name actually undersells it. Yeah, you’re technically on Vinohradská – which honestly sounds more intimidating than it is – but you’re basically perched above one of Prague’s most livable neighborhoods, and the views from some of these apartments will make you forget you’re staying in what’s essentially an upscale rental building.
I mean, Vinohrady isn’t where most tourists end up, and that’s exactly why it works so well. You’re far enough from the Old Town crowds that you can actually breathe, but close enough that you’re not spending half your day on trams (though the metro connection at Náměstí Míru is honestly pretty solid). The building itself sits on this busy street that looks a bit intimidating from the outside, but once you’re up in the apartments, the street noise fades into that pleasant Prague hum you start missing when you leave. The apartments themselves are… well, they’re properly done. Not those sterile corporate rentals you see everywhere now, but not trying too hard to be quirky either. The kitchens are actually functional – I made coffee every morning without cursing the setup, which is saying something. And the bathrooms have that European attention to detail that makes you realize American hotels have been phone it in for decades.
What really sold me was the neighborhood vibe. There’s this little wine bar around the corner that locals actually go to, and the morning bakery run becomes this whole pleasant ritual instead of a tourist trap nightmare. You’ll find yourself walking to the park at Riegrovy sady (about ten minutes if you don’t mind a slight uphill) where half of Prague seems to hang out on summer evenings. The beer garden there has probably the best sunset views in the city, and you’ll feel like you discovered some secret spot even though it’s been there forever. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving – street parking is possible but requires some patience and possibly a few Czech curse words. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward, none of that “let me walk you through seventeen amenities” nonsense. Just keys, wifi password, and some genuinely helpful local recommendations that weren’t obviously sponsored. The 8.8 rating makes sense when you realize this place delivers on the basics really well without any flashy distractions – solid sleep, reliable hot water, space to actually unpack, and windows that open to let in that crisp Prague air that somehow always smells a little like history and hops.
Prague hotels range from charming boutique properties in the historic Old Town Square to elegant castle-view hotels and modern accommodations near Wenceslas Square.

Great location, comfortable beds. Modern rooms. Highly recommended, we already booked for our Prague trip next year.
What could be improved: Nothing really, this is just a suggestion: there could be a piece of furniture in a bathroom to put/ store things (a little chair, table, etc.).
In the basement of the near building there is a club that is open on Fridays and Saturdays. You could hear the music a bit, but nothing major really as the apartment is located on the 5th floor.Esteban from Netherlands – 21 October 2024 (9/10)
Well maintained, comfortable and modern apartment. Quite close to metro and main train station. Also close to some restaurants and cafes. Self check in was easy. There is an elevator that works well. Only 10 or so steps needed to get to the elevator.
What could be improved: Curtains don't cover the light very well. You can hear the neighbours if they are being loud. Also during the weekend we could hear the bass either from the bar downstairs or neighbours music.Sari from Canada – 10 October 2024 (8/10)
Roomy apartment, separate bedroom, kitchen with fridge was great!
What could be improved: The location was quite far from the city centre esp for walking
