Prague Magical Apartment in the center near the congress center

A beautiful and cozy apartment in a calm yet thriving area of Prague with a fantastic host and a great connection to the center.

The apartment is in a quiet building, 30min walking distance from the old town. The owner is really nice and can help with recommendations what to do, where to go or where to eat. The bed was exceptionally comfortable! There is a coffee machine and electric pot for tea, and overall everything you might need if you decide to cook for yourself. Perfect conditions for a pleasant stay.
Regarding the parking - on the street is free during the night, on weekends and bank holidays. We paid for the days around new year's and it was very cheap, around 8 euros for 3 week days, but it was because of the holidays so better to ask the owner for directions to the nearest paid parking lot, like mentioned before if you plan to stay during the week.

What could be improved: Elevadores a meio andar

Helena is very helpful and responsive. The apartment is very clean. It’s in a quiet neighborhood with lots of trams within 10 minute walk. Grocery stores within 5 minute walk There is an elevator. The view is of lovely grass and trees of the Vyšehrad fortress walls which also let a lot of light into the apartment. It’s a good value if several people are staying there

What could be improved: The apartment is a little old. There are a couple loose bathroom floor tiles , and a couple broken/repaired tiles in kitchen. The shower is very small (= a prefab 1 meter, quarter round shower) Although the listing title states (“near castle”), it’s actually near Vyšehrad fortress (which I loved!)

The hostess is very friendly and outstanding in her role.
The place is really quiet, the rooms have doors (!) and the high ceilings effectively increase the perceived spaciousness.
It sports proper character and style, breaking from the current vogue of "white and featureless" of seemingly the vast majority of apartments currently offered in Prague.
Also a corkscrew is kindly provided, and Netflix for the kids.

What could be improved: If one were to really nitpick then a dish drainer and a shower head mount would be helpful additions.
The lighter sleepers might also notice the bedding material being of that particular noisy kind.

Superb location

We enjoyed the location of the apartment. It is easily accessible by public transport and by car (car parking space in front of the house - one side is free of charge, the other one you need to pay for). We liked the interior (design) of the apartment. Also, a washing machine was available. Supermarkts (Tesco and Lidl nearby). Helena - the host - contacted us before our arrival via e-mail and telephone for the handing over of the key.
