Prague Centre Plaza

Capital City of Prague, Czechia
Fügnerovo Namesti 1, Prague, 120 00, Czech Republic

Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Prague Centre Plaza, you’ll notice it’s not trying to be something it isn’t — and honestly, that’s refreshing. This three-star hotel sits right on Fügnerovo Namesti, which might not sound familiar, but trust me, you’re in one of the best spots in Prague. The building has that solid, no-nonsense feel that makes you think “okay, these people know what they’re doing.” It’s the kind of place where you can tell they’ve figured out the basics really well.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s what I love about where this hotel sits — you’re genuinely in the heart of things without being stuck in tourist chaos. Fügnerovo Namesti puts you close enough to walk to the major sights, but you’re not dealing with crowds of people taking selfies outside your window at 7 AM. The area has that authentic Prague feel, with local cafes and shops mixed in with the tourist spots. Couples seem to get this location especially well (they rate it 8.4, which makes sense), probably because you can actually have a romantic dinner nearby without fighting through tour groups.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. Nothing fancy, but everything worked properly, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed. The beds are actually comfortable (not just “hotel comfortable”), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. You know what impressed me most? The little details were right — good lighting for reading, outlets where you need them, and a bathroom that doesn’t make you play Tetris every time you turn around.

Breakfast Worth Getting Up For

I’m usually pretty skeptical about hotel breakfast, but they do a solid continental and buffet setup that actually works. The buffet has enough variety to keep you happy for several days, and the continental option is perfect if you’re the grab-and-go type. What I appreciated was that they clearly put thought into the quality — fresh bread, decent coffee, and local touches that remind you you’re in Prague. It’s not going to change your life, but it’ll definitely fuel your day of wandering around the city.

Why Guests Love It

The thing about Prague Centre Plaza is that it delivers on its promises without any surprises — good or bad. You’re getting solid value in an excellent location, with staff who seem to actually care about doing their jobs well. The 8.3 location score isn’t just a number; it reflects the fact that you can walk to Prague Castle, stroll to Old Town Square, or find a quiet spot along the river without needing to plan your life around public transport. For couples especially, there’s something nice about having a comfortable base in a neighborhood that feels both central and livable. It’s the kind of place that makes you think “yeah, I’d stay here again.”

Basic hotel but clean and friendly and central

Central and the rooms are very clean

What could be improved: There is a sign outside our window that squeaked all night every night - it’s the sign for the hotel. The breakfast could have been a little better but overall it was okay.

Perfect functional hotel for a couple. The location is quite convenient too with the metro station just 5 mins walk away. Breakfast is quite decent as well

Good

The staff were friendly, the beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. The hotel was located within walking distance of the metro station.

What could be improved: The choice of food for breakfast was very limited. There were some unexpected extra costs such as a charge for use of air conditioning whilst i would have paid for it anyway, i would prefer it was mentioned up front.
