Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Plaza Prague? It’s this perfectly positioned gem that somehow flies under the radar despite being right where you want to be. I mean, Ortenovo náměstí isn’t exactly a household name like Wenceslas Square, but honestly — that’s what makes this place work so well. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the Vltava riverfront and maybe eight minutes to Old Town Square if you cut through the right streets, but you’re staying in this quieter pocket where actual Prague residents live and work.
The hotel itself has that renovated-but-not-trying-too-hard vibe that I really appreciate. Check-in was smooth (they actually seemed happy to see guests, which isn’t always a given), and the lobby has this modern Czech design thing going on — clean lines, lots of natural light, but with these subtle nods to local craftsmanship that feel authentic rather than performed. My room on the fourth floor had this great view toward the castle district, and honestly, the soundproofing impressed me. Prague can get pretty lively, especially during summer festival season, but I slept like a rock every night. The beds are properly firm — European style but comfortable — and there’s actually enough outlets and decent wifi throughout, which matters if you’re trying to work or just want to post photos without standing in the hallway.
Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place: the staff genuinely knows Prague. Not just the tourist spots, but like, where to get the best goulash at 2 PM on a Tuesday (try U Fleku, but only if you don’t mind a bit of chaos), or which tram lines are running late because of construction near Náměstí Míru. The concierge — I think his name was Pavel — actually drew me a little map showing how to walk to Charles Bridge via this quieter route along Kampa Island that most visitors never discover. Little touches like that make such a difference when you’re trying to experience a city rather than just photograph it. The breakfast spread is solid too, with proper Czech pastries alongside the international stuff, and they serve coffee until nearly 11 AM, which is civilized. Parking can be tricky in this part of Prague (honestly, just use public transport), but they have arrangements with a garage about three blocks away if you’re driving. The 9.2 rating makes sense to me — it’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything works well, the location is genuinely smart rather than just convenient, and you feel like you’re staying somewhere that understands both comfort and context. I’d definitely book here again, especially in shoulder season when Prague shows its best face.

This was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our entire Eurotrip! Everything was perfect — from the cozy and clean rooms to the amazing breakfast. But what truly made the experience special was the incredible service.
A huge thank you to the Ukrainian-speaking staff — Tanya, Daria, and Nadiyka. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. It’s rare to find such friendly and caring people who go the extra mile for their guests.
We also really appreciated the lovely little gifts — such a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more memorable.
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!Great experience, we can only recommend this hotel! – Dragomir from Germany – 25 July 2025 (10/10)
Very friendly stuff, free welcome drinks, free parking, tram across the street (direct to city center), discount card for different places in Prague
Superb – Hendrik from Netherlands – 22 July 2025 (9/10)
Great staff, comfortable room with very good beds and great choices at breakfast. Our car could not fit in the parking garage (even though it was not that big) but they arranged for on street parking. Tram stop across the street that takes you to the city center.
What could be improved: Only thing missing was the possibility to make teaVery good value hotel – Philip from United Kingdom – 22 July 2025 (10/10)

The free voucher to the gym nearby. Access to a nearby secure outdoor parking even though it was supposed to be underground.
What could be improved: The systematic begging for reviews at checkout, for all customers. Being told the parking is one minute away when it really is not.4 day Praha get-away – T from Switzerland – 20 July 2025 (10/10)
Great breakfast. Nice room. Free parking 5min away on foot or in underground parking next to hotel. Friendly staff. Close to tram station – 15min to the main attractions in the city.
What could be improved: Our room was a little small, but all in all do-able.Great – Xhesjana from Austria – 20 July 2025 (10/10)

Great Hotel in nice neighbourhood – Siobhan-claire from United Kingdom – 19 July 2025 (9/10)
The hotel was in a perfect location to explore all parts of Prague, with the tram stop being a 1 minute walk from the hotel, and you could be at all main attractions within circa 15 minutes this way. There were plenty of restaurants and bars, yet the neighbourhood was quiet at night after 11pm, which was nice considering it's still in the city. The room we stayed in 606 was a good size with nice views and the bed was extremely comfortable, one of the best we have had.The breakfast had good quality and variation.
What could be improved: There is very limited space in the parking garage below, and it's incredibly tight, so everyone has to be able to park well. There was a misunderstanding when we first checked in as we had requested a space to be reserved when booking, which was confirmed, but upon arrival, it had not been done. The staff were still attentive and made sure we were able to get a spot later that afternoon. We appreciate the effort they put in to resolve this.
