Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Pinkova Apartments on Růžová Street, you immediately get that “I’m in the real Prague” feeling. This three-star property sits right in the heart of Prague 1, and honestly, the location is pretty much unbeatable — I mean, you’re literally steps away from everything that matters in the Old Town. The building has that classic Central European charm without being overly touristy, which I actually appreciated.

The Heart of Prague

What struck me most was how genuinely central this place is. You know those hotels that claim to be “in the center” but you still need a tram ride to get anywhere interesting? Well, this isn’t one of them. From your apartment, you can walk to Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, and Wenceslas Square without breaking a sweat. The couples who stay here seem to get it — they’ve rated the location 9.6 for romantic trips, and I can see why. There’s something magical about stepping out your door and being surrounded by centuries-old cobblestone streets and baroque architecture.

Your Space

The apartments themselves are what you’d expect from a solid three-star property — clean, functional, and surprisingly spacious for Prague standards. Each unit comes with a kitchenette, which is honestly a game-changer when you want to grab some fresh bread and local cheese from the nearby markets instead of eating out every meal. The rooms aren’t fancy, but they’re comfortable and well-maintained. I particularly liked having the extra space to spread out after long days of sightseeing.

Practical Perks

Here’s something that’ll save you a headache — they actually offer private parking. If you’ve ever tried to park in Prague 1, you’ll know this is basically like finding gold. Most visitors don’t drive in the city center (and honestly, you don’t need to), but if you’re planning day trips to places like Český Krumlov or just prefer having your car nearby, this is a huge advantage. The staff was helpful with directions and local tips, though don’t expect five-star concierge service — it’s more like getting advice from knowledgeable locals.

Why Guests Love It

Look, Pinkova Apartments isn’t trying to be the fanciest place in Prague, and that’s exactly what works about it. You’re paying for an unbeatable location and solid, no-nonsense accommodations. The 8.5 rating reflects what you actually get — a reliable base in the absolute center of one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. When you can walk to a world-class restaurant in any direction, stumble back from the famous beer halls without needing transportation, and wake up to the sound of horse-drawn carriages on cobblestones, you realize the location really is everything. It’s the kind of place that lets Prague itself be the star of your trip.

Opposite main railway station

Very close to main railway station, and old town center is 15 mins walk. Apartman is really nicely renewed in a residental building. On 2nd floor, no elevator. Separate bedroom, where bed is on a high platform, requires some climbing. Looks modern and stylish but could be problem for elderly people. Above the bathroom there are two beds, ideal for kids ( no space for standing). Kitchen is well equipped. The good coffe maker is a plus.

What could be improved: The mobile aircon is led out via the window, so noise ( speaking, tv...) and cooking smell comes to the apartman.
Did not like the key handover procedure. Need to check in via a robot ( you might not know it is a robot with a mail name) one week earlier in separete app. And announce when you arrive, and again one hour before arrival by calling THE phone number which is given by the " robot" and it is landline, but a foreighner does not know that. So sending messages is useless, when they do not pick it up. They have mobile ( whatsapp) phone number too, but the stupid turist does not know that number, not visible on Booking.com either. As calling them is necessary, proper information about the phone numbers should be provided ( not just call us - without any number), to avoid the hassle for foreighners.

Great place for a short stay close to the train station

Great location if u depart early from the train station. Very well equipped kitchen with proper automata coffee machine!!

What could be improved: The sofa in the living room is quite rundown, that should be replaced. Second floor, no elevator, so with big suitcases, not convenient.

Well located apartment, kind staff, but a couple of minor things to improve.

The apartment was located centrally in Prague, close to both the main station and old / new towns. Overall the accommodation was good, although a couple of little things could make it better eg teabags in the tea box supplied (unclear if this was meant to be part of the offering(?) or for decoration, along with the coffeemaker) and a couple of minor repairs (light hanging off wall by bed / wardrobe door requires tightening).

Although this didn’t impact us, a couple of notes regarding the sleeping arrangements: the primary bed is lovely and comfortable, but you do have to climb onto it - it’s at least 70-80cm off the floor. The secondary bed space located on the ‘mezzanine’ really shouldn’t have a bed… You can barely kneel upright in the space, let alone stand up and the steps are very steep to get up there. As mentioned in other reviews, if any of your party suffer from claustrophobia, then this bed space is not for you.
