Pinkova Apartments Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Pinkova Apartments on Růžová street, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots surprise you the most. The building itself has that classic Prague charm – you’re literally steps away from the heart of Prague 1, which means you can stumble out the door and be at Old Town Square in about eight minutes on foot. I timed it, because I’m that kind of person.
What really got me was how quiet it actually stays inside, despite being so central. I mean, Růžová is this narrow little street that somehow dodges most of the tourist chaos – locals seem to know it as a shortcut, but the big tour groups haven’t figured it out yet. The apartments themselves feel more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, which honestly worked perfectly for me. The kitchenette situation is legit too – there’s a little Tesco Express about two blocks down if you want to grab breakfast stuff, though honestly, with all the cafés around here, I barely used it. The shower pressure was surprisingly decent (you never know with older Prague buildings), and I loved that they didn’t go overboard with generic hotel décor. It actually feels like Prague, not like it could be anywhere.
Here’s the thing though – and this might matter depending on what you’re looking for – it’s not fancy. The furniture is simple, the lobby is basically just a doorway, and if you’re expecting someone to carry your bags or recommend restaurants, you might be disappointed. But that 8.5 rating makes total sense when you consider what you’re actually getting. The location alone is worth it – I could walk to Wenceslas Square, cross the river to Lesser Town, or head up to the castle without ever needing transport. Plus, there’s this little wine bar called Lokál just around the corner that serves the best goulash I had in the city (and trust me, I tried a lot of goulash). Parking is… well, it’s Prague 1, so don’t even think about bringing a car. But the tram stop at Národní třída is maybe a five-minute walk if you need to get to the airport or wherever. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning to actually explore the city instead of just sitting in a hotel room.

Reviews of Pinkova Apartments
Opposite main railway station – Krisztina from Finland – 2 July 2025 (7/10)
Very close to main railway station, and old town center is 15 mins walk. Apartman is really nicely renewed in a residental building. On 2nd floor, no elevator. Separate bedroom, where bed is on a high platform, requires some climbing. Looks modern and stylish but could be problem for elderly people. Above the bathroom there are two beds, ideal for kids ( no space for standing). Kitchen is well equipped. The good coffe maker is a plus.
What could be improved: The mobile aircon is led out via the window, so noise ( speaking, tv…) and cooking smell comes to the apartman.
Did not like the key handover procedure. Need to check in via a robot ( you might not know it is a robot with a mail name) one week earlier in separete app. And announce when you arrive, and again one hour before arrival by calling THE phone number which is given by the " robot" and it is landline, but a foreighner does not know that. So sending messages is useless, when they do not pick it up. They have mobile ( whatsapp) phone number too, but the stupid turist does not know that number, not visible on Booking.com either. As calling them is necessary, proper information about the phone numbers should be provided ( not just call us – without any number), to avoid the hassle for foreighners.Great place for a short stay close to the train station – Viktoria from Hungary – 21 May 2025 (8/10)
Great location if u depart early from the train station. Very well equipped kitchen with proper automata coffee machine!!
What could be improved: The sofa in the living room is quite rundown, that should be replaced. Second floor, no elevator, so with big suitcases, not convenient.Well located apartment, kind staff, but a couple of minor things to improve. – Brian from United Kingdom – 13 April 2025 (8/10)
The apartment was located centrally in Prague, close to both the main station and old / new towns. Overall the accommodation was good, although a couple of little things could make it better eg teabags in the tea box supplied (unclear if this was meant to be part of the offering(?) or for decoration, along with the coffeemaker) and a couple of minor repairs (light hanging off wall by bed / wardrobe door requires tightening).
Although this didn’t impact us, a couple of notes regarding the sleeping arrangements: the primary bed is lovely and comfortable, but you do have to climb onto it – it’s at least 70-80cm off the floor. The secondary bed space located on the ‘mezzanine’ really shouldn’t have a bed… You can barely kneel upright in the space, let alone stand up and the steps are very steep to get up there. As mentioned in other reviews, if any of your party suffer from claustrophobia, then this bed space is not for you.Well located spacious flat – Hyunjung from France – 17 October 2024 (9/10)
Very spacious equipped with all necessities. Also well located.
What could be improved: NonePerfect, if it will be on ground floor I will definitely come back. – Anna from United Kingdom – 6 October 2024 (10/10)
Everything is perfect, location and around. Nice and clean very.
What could be improved: Just mention people to get to the property you need go outside at rear garden and if you don’t like height like me it is was big problem ( it is only me may be ) but it was big challenge for me .Exceptional – Antonina_kharkiv from Ukraine – 17 August 2024 (10/10)
The apartment is clean, cozy, stylish, fully equipped with everything you need. Washing machine, dishwasher, floor air conditioner. All beds on the second level under the ceiling, mattresses are comfortable, we really liked it. Very nice manager, explained everything in detail. We will definitely come back).
What could be improved: May not be suitable for the elderly.Very good – Jeremy from Australia – 16 August 2024 (8/10)
Conveniently located within walking distance of the train station and Prague old town. Fairly spacious and a good bathroom. Staff were prompt and helpful when checking-in.
What could be improved: Has A/C but was still a little warm inside.Exceptional – Biondo from United Kingdom – 1 January 2024 (10/10)
The apartment is very pretty, comfortable and fully equipped !The position is ideal to visit the most important amenities of Prague. Walkable distance to the Old town square of 10minutes. The neighbourhood is full of pubs/restaurants and shop. Highly recommend. We have a pleasant new year's eve.
Exceptional – Ella from United Kingdom – 7 December 2023 (10/10)
Amazing location, walkable distance to anywhere in the old town. Lovely little apartment with everything you might need, and extremely helpful hosts.
Spacious apartment with a perfect location that is quiet but near everything – and and super friendly staff! – Josh from United States – 7 October 2023 (10/10)
It is a lovely apartment in a location that is just amazing! Very close to everything and yet super quiet as it is on a small street and then in a courtyard. The staff were so helpful, especially when I arrived early. I was able to leave my luggage at the office and then had a cup of tea before venturing out and seeing Vysehrad, which is a Castle, up on a hill with amazing views, and it’s not that far a walk from the office. Highly recommended!
What could be improved: Not a big deal, but when I first arrived, the apartment had just been cleaned, and the smell of the bleach was quite strong. You might consider getting some less pungent cleaners.
