Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Petrin Tower Residence? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet little street called Mělnická – and I mean quiet in the best possible way. When I first walked up, I was honestly expecting another generic Prague hotel, but this place has character. The building itself feels like someone’s elegant aunt decided to open her home to travelers, if that makes sense.
The location is sort of brilliant once you figure it out. You’re basically a stone’s throw from Petřín Hill (hence the name), which means you can walk up to that mini Eiffel Tower without dealing with the tourist crowds that swarm the castle area. I spent most mornings grabbing coffee and heading up there before the day got crazy. What’s really nice is that you’re close enough to Lesser Town to walk everywhere that matters, but far enough from Wenceslas Square that you don’t hear drunk stag parties stumbling home at 3 AM. The tram connections are solid too – there’s a stop just a few minutes away that’ll get you to Old Town in maybe ten minutes.
The rooms themselves feel more like staying in someone’s well-appointed apartment than a typical hotel. Mine had these tall windows that let in incredible light, and honestly, the bed was one of those where you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re being swallowed. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious – I mean, this is Europe, so I wasn’t expecting much, but I could actually move around comfortably. One thing that impressed me was how quiet everything was; the walls are thick enough that I never heard neighbors, which is rare in Prague’s older buildings. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no pushy upsells or lengthy explanations, just friendly efficiency.
What really sells this place for me is the neighborhood vibe. There’s this little bakery around the corner where locals actually go (not just tourists), and you’ll find yourself walking past the same dog walkers every morning. It feels authentic in a way that’s getting harder to find in Prague’s center. The staff clearly knows the area well – they pointed me toward this tiny wine bar that I never would have discovered otherwise, tucked into a basement about five minutes away. Sure, if you’re the type who needs to be right in the thick of things every second, you might feel slightly removed, but honestly? That’s exactly why the place works. You get your Prague experience during the day, then come back to something that feels like a real neighborhood at night.

We booked this apartment due to being pet friendly and a short walking distance to the park. This worked out perfectly for us. The apartment was comfortable for our family of 4 plus Frenchie. Apartment was spotlessly clean upon arrival and you could tell the staff took pride in this.
I am not very tall and the pots and pans were stored in a cupboard I could not reach. The same for the hanging bar in the closet. The pillows were also uncomfortable for my taste. Small downsides for an otherwise great stay. We would come back based on location, restaurants, access to transportation options.Alvaro from Spain – 28 March 2025 (9/10)

Fantastic from start to finish.
Prior to our visit- We contacted staff via WhatsApp and was provided with constant communication. Check in was really easy, all information re keys and access was provided on the morning of check in.
The apartment – what can I say! Fantastic location, super clean. We stayed in a superior 2 bedroom apartment, with 2 bathrooms, all towels, hairdryer, kettle, oven, microwave and coffee machine, TV with netflix and YouTube. We couldn't fault it! Anyone that stays here will not be disappointed.
Check out- we were provided with an information booklet in the apartment providing information on places to visit and baggage hold on the day of departure, there is an agreement with the hotel opposite to hold your bags for 5 euros a day.
The owners of this apartment make sure everything is covered for the whole duration of your stay.
We would advise using Uber for airport transfers each way costs around £15.
What could be improved: If I had to comment on anything it would be to suggest an iron be provided. We couldn't locate one within the apartment.Jake from United Kingdom – 21 March 2025 (9/10)
