You know what caught me off guard about Pawlansky Apartments? The moment you walk in, it actually feels like someone’s stylish Prague home rather than another sterile hotel lobby. I mean, when you’re staying right on Újezd street in Lesser Town, you expect some character – but this place really delivers on that promise without trying too hard.

The location is honestly one of those spots where you feel like you’ve cracked some local code. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the Petřin Hill funicular (which, trust me, beats huffing it up that hill with your morning coffee), and Kampa Island is right there when you want to escape the tourist crowds on Charles Bridge. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets in the evenings – Újezd can be busy during the day with trams rumbling by, but once things settle down, you’re in this perfect pocket of the city where you can actually hear yourself think. The tram stop is practically outside your door, so getting to Old Town or across to Wenceslas Square takes maybe ten minutes.

The apartments themselves – well, they’ve clearly put thought into making them feel lived-in rather than hotel-corporate. The kitchenettes are actually functional (I’m talking real counter space and appliances that work), which is rare in Prague’s apartment hotels. The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d wrestled with Czech history all night, and the bathrooms have that satisfying water pressure you hope for but don’t always get in older European buildings. I stayed during late spring, and opening those windows in the morning to let in that crisp Prague air – along with the distant sound of church bells from across the river – honestly made the whole trip feel more authentic. The WiFi held up fine for video calls back home, though you might want to test it first if you’re planning to work remotely.

What sets this place apart is how the staff actually knows the neighborhood. Instead of handing you a generic tourist map, they’ll tell you which beer garden on Petřin Hill has the best sunset views, or that the little grocery store around the corner stays open later than most. The 8.3 rating makes sense when you consider it’s not trying to be the flashiest option in Prague – it’s just consistently doing the important stuff right. Check-in was smooth (they’re flexible about timing if your flight gets delayed), and honestly, the price point feels fair for what you’re getting in this part of the city. If you’re the type who wants to feel like a temporary local rather than a hotel guest, and you don’t need a concierge in a bow tie, this is your spot.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Prague at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous cultural festivals and outdoor concerts.

    The apartment was exactly like pictures with an incredible views of Prague (I was at the last floor). It was big with a separate room and in the living room it was another bed with the cabinet (it seems is normal here to include the bed in the living room)- Kitchen was big with all the furniture needed and more (like cofee, salt, sugar, teas….). Shower's water was strong and good. There is elevator (I think is important to say when you travel with luggage). And in the door there is an italian restaurant were hosts have 15% and they are really nice and food is excellent. Also, you have the option to ask for being picked up from the airport for 35 euros (we did and they were on time). One more thing, you have tram's stops really closed (like 22 for the castle and 9 for the train station) and the funicular less than 3 minutes walking. And last thing and the most important for me, they allow to have your dog in the apartment .

    The location is excellent. It is situated on the main street of the castle side of the city – walking distance to the castle and to Charles bridge. Despite the fact the tram is operating in the street, where the windows are facing to, the noise was not disturbing at all. The noise isolation was good. We have received the key from the restaurant owner from the same building. We could park the car 3 minutes walk from the appartment in a nearby large park, had to pay for it daily 35 euro (street-parking 3-4 euro/hour). The appartment is large (for 3 of us definitely), it was clean as well, the kitchen is well equiped (incl. dishwashing machine, micro, kettle etc), bath is comfortable soap/shower gel/towels were provided. The design is minimum.
    The owner was very helpful to find the place/key/parking, and we have received the e-invoice we were asking for after our check-out.

    What could be improved: The main bed-room could have been furnished better. The large room seemed a little bit empty and more local light/lamp would be good. For me the water temperature of the shower was variable (sometimes too hot, or not warm enough), but it was ok.

    Great Location in the Old Town. Quiet and beautiful neighborhood. Near is the tram station and public transport in near proximity. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Apartment is quite big and provides space for a group of 6-7 people. All necessary facilities were presented, even for a longer stay for families with kids.
    The host was super friendly. Check-in and check-out process was super easy. Overall I am happy with the selected apartment.

    Location was great, and we had our toddler with us so they arranged a lovely cot. Host was kind and attentive and was very reasonable for transfers. Comfy bed and clean.

    What could be improved: The lift to the double apartment was broken and is on the 4th floor, 8 sets of steps were difficult after a long day!
