Panorama Hotel Prague

Prague, Czech Republic
Milevská 7, Prague, 14063, Czech Republic

Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to the Panorama Hotel Prague on Milevská, I wasn’t expecting much from the neighborhood. You’re in Nusle, which isn’t exactly where most tourists end up, but that actually turned out to be one of my favorite things about staying here. It’s this proper residential area where you’ll see locals walking their dogs and grabbing coffee, not crowds of people with selfie sticks.

The hotel itself sits in this spot where you get these genuinely stunning views over the city (hence the name, I guess), and I mean, Prague from a distance never gets old. The building’s got that clean, modern feel – nothing too fancy, but everything works the way it should. Check-in was smooth, the staff actually seemed to care about helping rather than just going through the motions, and my room had this big window that made the whole space feel larger than it probably was. The beds are proper comfortable too, which honestly matters more than any fancy marble bathroom when you’ve been walking cobblestones all day.

What really won me over was how connected you are despite feeling removed from the tourist chaos. There’s a tram stop basically right outside – and I mean right outside, you can hear it but it’s not annoying – that gets you into Wenceslas Square in maybe fifteen minutes. The neighborhood has this great little Vietnamese place around the corner (Prague’s full of excellent Vietnamese food, which surprised me the first time I visited), plus a proper grocery store if you want to grab snacks or drinks without paying hotel prices. You know what else? Parking here is actually manageable, unlike trying to navigate a car anywhere near Old Town. The whole area quiets down nicely at night too – you’re not dealing with drunk groups stumbling past your window at 2 AM.

I stayed here in both summer and on a return trip in November, and honestly, the experience held up both times. Summer’s obviously lovely with those long European evenings, but there’s something cozy about Prague in the colder months, and this place felt like a good home base for exploring without breaking the bank. The 8.3 rating makes sense – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but it does everything well without any major headaches. For what you pay compared to staying right in the center, you’re getting solid value and a chance to see how Prague actually functions as a city, not just a postcard.

To book a hotel in Prague during the famous Easter Market season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts history enthusiasts and architecture lovers from around the world.

Before I say anything else, I would like to mention the night receptionist Milan. He was really really professional. He made me go back down from my room just for get his name so I can put him down absolutely lovely fella. The room was tidy and neat no issues at all. Breakfast was amazing, lots of room to sit and lot of opinions to eat and very tasty too.

Although the building is 40 years old it is in a good shape. The breakfast is very ok! The personnel is friendly and very helpful.

What could be improved: The Toilette in the bath is fixed to a very low level, very much uncommon. You need more power to open the tap,
