Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a place called “Olives Ruterra Loft” – the name sounds like it was dreamed up by a marketing committee, you know? But this little gem tucked away on Olivova Street actually surprised me in the best way. The building itself has that distinctly Prague feel, all those beautiful old facades mixed with modern touches, and when you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone put real thought into the space rather than just throwing together another cookie-cutter hotel.

The loft setup is genuinely cool – high ceilings that make you feel like you’re staying in someone’s stylish apartment rather than a standard hotel room, and the sauna (which I’ll be honest, I almost skipped) turned out to be one of those perfect end-of-day treats after walking all over Prague’s cobblestones. Your feet will thank you, trust me. What really won me over though was the location – Olivova is this quiet little street where you can actually sleep at night, but you’re literally a three-minute walk from Wenceslas Square. I mean, you can grab breakfast at one of those tiny local cafés on Vodičkova Street, then be at the National Museum before most tourists have finished their hotel buffet. The staff clearly knows the neighborhood too – they pointed me toward this incredible little wine bar on Štěpánská that I never would have found otherwise.

The 4-star rating feels about right, and that 8.1 score makes sense when you consider it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Prague, just a really solid, thoughtful one. There are a few quirks – the shower pressure could be better, and the Wi-Fi gets a bit spotty on the upper floors – but honestly, these feel like minor trade-offs for the character and location. You’re staying in New Town, which means you’ve got that perfect balance of being close to everything touristy (Old Town Square is maybe a 10-minute walk) while still feeling like you’re in a neighborhood where actual Praguers live and work. Check-in was smooth, parking is available if you’re driving (though honestly, you won’t need a car once you’re there), and the whole vibe is just… comfortable. Like staying with a friend who has really good taste and knows all the right spots to recommend.

  The apartment was nice for 5 people, we enjoyed our stay. The host was kind and flexible. There was coffe and tea in the kitchen, all the machines working (washing machine, dishwasher, new fridge, microwave, coffee machine, water kettle).
  We enjoyed the sauna, and the big living room with the big dining table.
  The bedsheets and towels are clean.
  
  What could be improved: If you arrive by car, plan your parking, becouse it is not easy in the city center – for not locals. The host can offer a garage space, ask for it.
  The pillows were a bit unconfortable, but useable.

  The apartment is big enough for 6 persons. It is so convenience for big family.

  What could be improved: Apartament zdawał się bardzo dawno nie odświeżany, brudne i śmierdzące poduszki. Ciśnienie pod prysznicem jak krew z nosa, dwie łazienki ale gdy ktoś się w jednej kapał w drugiej brak cieplej wody. Nie można było odpalić kuchenki, brak worków na śmieci.
