The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with the absolute chaos of the main tourist strips. Rybná runs parallel to the famous Celetná street – you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Astronomical Clock and Old Town Square, but far enough off the beaten path that you won’t have tour groups marching past your windows at 7 AM. I loved that I could grab coffee at one of those tiny local places on Dlouhá street (just around the corner) before the crowds descended, then slip back through the quieter side streets when I needed a break from all the sightseeing madness. The apartment itself is surprisingly roomy – and I actually mean surprising, because Prague’s Old Town isn’t exactly known for spacious accommodations. You’ve got room to properly unpack, spread out your maps and guidebooks, maybe even cook a meal if you’re tired of goulash and beer (though honestly, who gets tired of that?).

What really sold me on the place was how it felt like staying in someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental unit. The furniture has character, the kitchen actually has everything you need – not just the bare minimum – and there’s decent WiFi, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to figure out public transport or make dinner reservations. The building can be a bit echo-y, especially when people are coming and going late at night, but that’s pretty much par for the course in these old Prague buildings. Check-in was smooth enough, though you’ll want to coordinate timing since there’s no front desk situation. One thing to keep in mind – like most Old Town spots, getting here by car is basically impossible, but the nearest tram stop is maybe a five-minute walk, and honestly, you’ll be doing so much walking anyway that public transport becomes second nature pretty quickly. The whole area comes alive differently depending on when you visit – summer evenings bring street musicians and outdoor dining, while winter has this cozy, almost fairy-tale quality when snow dusts the cobblestones and warm light spills from all the restaurant windows.
