You know what? I was honestly skeptical when I first walked up to Old Town Konviktská – the entrance is sort of tucked away on this narrow street that most tourists completely miss. But that’s actually the whole point. While everyone else is fighting crowds on Wenceslas Square, you’re staying on one of Prague’s quieter cobblestone streets that still puts you right in the thick of everything.

The building itself has this authentic Bohemian character that you just can’t fake – I’m talking original wooden beams, those gorgeous arched windows, and stone details that have been here since way before Prague became an Instagram hotspot. What really got me though was how they’ve managed to blend all that old-world charm with genuinely comfortable modern touches. The rooms aren’t huge (this is Old Town after all), but they’re thoughtfully laid out with quality linens and bathrooms that actually work properly – which, let me tell you, isn’t always a given in these historic buildings. The staff clearly knows their stuff too; when I mentioned I was looking for a good traditional restaurant away from the tourist traps, they pointed me toward this amazing little place on Nerudova Street that I never would’ve found otherwise.

Location-wise, you’re basically winning the Prague lottery here. Konviktská runs parallel to the main tourist drag, so you get all the convenience without the chaos. Charles Bridge is a genuine five-minute walk – I timed it – and you can actually reach Prague Castle on foot without breaking a sweat. But here’s what the guidebooks don’t tell you: you’re also perfectly positioned for the real Prague. There’s this fantastic local bakery just around the corner on Národní that opens at 6 AM (perfect for beating the crowds to the castle), and honestly some of the best people-watching in the city happens right from your doorstep. The 8.6 rating makes total sense when you experience it – it’s not trying to be a flashy five-star palace, but everything they do, they do really well. The only minor thing I’d mention is that like most Old Town spots, weekend nights can get a bit lively with street noise, but honestly? That’s just Prague being Prague, and you came here for the atmosphere anyway.

  Excellent location, comfy and well maintained apartment, perfect for a family of 4. We ate out so we didn’t use the kitchen but it had everything, and the beds were comfortable.

  Fantastic apartment! Charming decor with modern facilities. Kids loved the coziness in particular. Location is perfect. Easy access to all modes of public transportation. Charles Bridge and Old Town Sq. are just a short walk away. Can't wait to stay here again should the opportunity present itself.

  the central location in the old town was fantastic especially since it was in a very quiet street, yet 5-10 minutes to Charles bridge and to Old Town square and close to restaurants.

  Fabulous location and spacious apartment. Communication with host was good and information provided about Prague was really appreciated.

  It is a specious apartment downtown Prague. It is only few minutes walk from town center. It has a great and specious bathroom. Good communication with the host (both Booking and WhatsApp)
  
  What could be improved: There is no parking provided, you need to investigate your options. Second (small) toilet is too small, not usable. Bed in the living room is way uncomfortable.

Also the check in instructions were only sent to us after we arrived and we had to call the owner. Although I have left a message about our arrival time and wrote to them in advance.
