Old Town – Dusni Apartments

Capital City of Prague, Czechia
Dusni 1, Prague, 11000, Czech Republic

Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Old Town – Dusni Apartments on a narrow cobblestone street, you immediately know you’ve found something special. This three-star property sits right in the thick of Prague’s Old Town — I mean, you’re literally steps from the Astronomical Clock and all those tourist crowds, but somehow the building itself feels tucked away and peaceful. The entrance is understated in that classic European way, where you might almost walk past it if you weren’t looking for the address.

The Location Magic

Honestly, the location here is pretty incredible — couples seem to get it especially, rating it 9.8 for romantic trips, and I can see why. You’re on Dusni Street, which connects you to everything without being on one of those main tourist drags where you can’t escape the crowds. Walk five minutes in any direction and you’ll hit Prague Castle views, the Jewish Quarter, or Wenceslas Square. What I really appreciated was being able to duck back to the apartment between sightseeing sessions — something you can’t do when you’re staying out in the newer districts.

The Apartment Experience

These aren’t hotel rooms in the traditional sense, which actually works really well for the setting. Each unit feels more like staying in a local’s place — you get your own space with a proper kitchen setup, which is honestly a lifesaver when you want morning coffee without hunting down a café. The room I stayed in had those high ceilings you expect in old Prague buildings, and while the furnishings aren’t fancy, everything felt clean and functional. The windows looked out onto the historic street, and you know what? Hearing those cobblestones echo with footsteps at night actually added to the whole experience.

Practical Considerations

One thing that surprised me was that they actually have parking available on-site — if you’ve ever tried to drive in Prague’s Old Town, you’ll know that’s basically a miracle. The staff was helpful when I needed local recommendations, though this isn’t the kind of place with a 24-hour front desk or concierge service. It’s more independent living, which I liked, but just know what you’re getting into. The building shows its age in some spots, but that’s part of the charm when you’re staying in a neighborhood that’s been around for centuries.

Why Guests Love It

The 7.8 rating makes sense once you understand what this place is about — it’s not trying to be a polished hotel experience, but rather an authentic way to live like a local in one of Europe’s most beautiful city centers. You’re trading some modern conveniences for an unbeatable location and that feeling of actually residing in Old Town rather than just visiting it. For the price point and the neighborhood, it delivers exactly what it promises — a comfortable base in the real heart of Prague where you can walk to everything that matters.

Clean, very central location,

Location

What could be improved: Where we pick up the key is far away from the apartment and we had to walk from there with our luggages to apartment. If we were told before, then taxi will leave us on dusni apartment rather than key pick up place. This is not something I like.

Homely, clean, and would recommend to friends and family!

The placement of the property was amazing, it was in walking distance of everything within the town!
It was clean and easy to find!

What could be improved: Nothing, we loved everything, however it was very hot in the property but easily fixed but opening some windows!
