Hotel Description
So I stumbled across this little gem on Karoliny Světlé – honestly, I walked past it twice before realizing this was actually my place for the week. The Old Town 1 Bedroom Oasis doesn’t scream “look at me” from the street, which is sort of perfect because you’re literally in the heart of Prague’s most touristy zone but tucked away enough that you won’t have crowds of people taking selfies right outside your window at 6 AM.
The double shower thing isn’t just marketing nonsense – they actually mean it. There’s this rainfall showerhead situation that, I mean, after walking around Prague’s cobblestones all day, you’ll appreciate more than you think. And the AC? Look, I was there in July when Prague decides to be surprisingly muggy, and most older buildings in this area are basically beautiful ovens. This place kept things comfortable without that weird hotel AC rattle that keeps you up all night. The bedroom setup is smart too – not huge, but they’ve arranged everything so it doesn’t feel cramped. There’s actually space to open your suitcase without having to put it on the bed, which… you know what, that matters more than people realize.
What really sold me on this spot was how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from the Astronomical Clock (which means you can pop back for a quick break when the Old Town Square gets overwhelming), but turn the corner onto Karoliny Světlé and suddenly it’s just regular Prague life happening. There’s this little pub – U Zlatého Tygra – about two blocks away where you’ll find more locals than tourists, and honestly some of the best goulash I had during my entire trip. The tram stop at Národní třída is close enough that you can easily get to the castle or across to Vinohrady, but walking to most of the main sights is totally doable. I actually preferred walking because you catch all these little details – the way morning light hits the church spires, the smell of trdelník vendors setting up, the sound of delivery trucks navigating those narrow medieval streets before the city really wakes up. The only thing I’d mention is that weekend nights can get a bit lively (it’s Old Town, after all), but the windows are decent and by Sunday everything mellows out. Really though, if you want to feel like you’re staying in Prague rather than just visiting it, this place gets the balance right.

Awesome apartment! – Samara from Brazil – 24 February 2025 (10/10)
Super clean and amazing location!
What could be improved: There is no elevator and the apartment is at the last floor.Nice, clean, big with a central location – Marie from France – 22 February 2023 (9/10)
The place was big and clean. All the commodities are complementary. Next to a big place in Praha we could do all our visits by foot from the apartment. Very good location.
It's also quiet. You can access easily to VOD platforms.
What could be improved: Be careful when you use the two showers at the same time it reduces the debit or the temperature but it's really a detail.Very good – Ron from Netherlands – 7 April 2023 (8/10)
Location was great
Appartement has a great amount of space
Kitchen is good and has all needed facilities.
What could be improved: Appartement looks better on pictures, some pictures for sure are old or have been slightly changed to make it look better.
Water pressure in the bathroom was terrible, it was partly fixed after we asked. However it was still not good.Wouldn’t return – Rochelle from United Kingdom – 8 December 2024 (5/10)
Great location, clean and modern
What could be improved: Because we arrived at 9.20pm despite them having our flight details in advance, we were told we had to pay €20 cash ‘late check in free’. This was not written anywhere prior to booking. Also the shower ran out of hot water within 2mins, we reported the issue and then just stopped replying. I asked numerous times about late check out, the person said they would check, got to the last day and obviously they couldn’t accommodate. Apartment is nice but the service is poor. Also toilet feels like it’s coming off the wall. Has to climb lots of stairs to gain access.Would not return to this apartment, too many issues for the high price – Anna from Germany – 25 January 2025 (5/10)
Location, easy check-in, clean
What could be improved: Hot water is a luxury in this apartment. The boiler heats only 3 times in 24 hours and there was not enough hot water for 4 people to take a shower. We stayed in the apartment in December and in the first evening we had only cold water in the shower. The heating is also poor. It was not comfortable in the apartment. With cold December temperatures outside I would expect to return to a warm room. Besides that, there was the electricity outage in the first evening and we had to fix it ourselves. The toaster was broken and the electric in the apartment was out as soon as we connected it to power.Great location, great amenities and quiet – Jennifer from Australia – 23 September 2023 (7/10)
Great location in old town but still nice and quiet! All the amenities and even had laundry liquid supplied.
What could be improved: Pillows were a bit lumpy and lacking fluffinessIt was good but bad cleaned – Emina from Sweden – 28 August 2023 (7/10)
It was fast and easy
Good apartment near the Old Town. – Douglas from France – 9 May 2023 (7/10)
Great location – near the Old Town but not in loud/super busy, big apartment, fairly well equipped.
Met on time for check-in.
What could be improved: Not incredibly clean, bathroom smelt a bit. No curtains in living room where sofa bed is.
Communication prior to stay not great (I received multiple requests for the same information and they did not responding to my messages).Exceptional – Camilla from Brazil – 2 June 2025 (10/10)
Apartamento amplo, confortavel, completo com tudo que precisa, realmente muito bom e super bem localizado
What could be improved: Das escadas para acessoExceptional – Dlhoš from Slovakia – 4 March 2025 (10/10)
super lokalita, čisto, pohodlne
What could be improved: nie vždy išla teplá voda
