Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of Prague hotels, and Numa Prague Libusa honestly surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked away on Ke Karlovu – which, if you know Prague at all, puts you in this sweet spot between the tourist madness of Old Town and the real residential neighborhoods where locals actually live. The building itself has that classic Prague charm (you know, the kind that makes you feel like you’re in a movie), but inside it’s been updated with this clean, modern aesthetic that doesn’t try too hard to be trendy.
What really got me was how quiet it is – and I mean genuinely quiet, not just “quiet for a city hotel.” The street doesn’t get much through traffic, so you can actually sleep with the windows cracked open in spring without dealing with constant sirens or drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM. The rooms themselves are smartly designed, honestly. Nothing groundbreaking, but everything works exactly how it should, and there’s this attention to detail that you don’t always find – like proper reading lights that actually illuminate the pages of a book, and enough outlets where you need them. The bathrooms are particularly well done, with rainfall showers that have actual water pressure (you’d be amazed how many Prague hotels mess this up).
Here’s the thing though – and this is where knowing the area really pays off – you’re about a fifteen-minute walk from Wenceslas Square, but it’s downhill most of the way back, which means you’re climbing a bit to get home after dinner. Not a big deal if you’re in decent shape, but worth knowing. The upside is you’re right near some excellent local spots that most tourists never find. There’s this fantastic little café called Café Slavia just a few blocks away, and the whole Vinohrady district is right there with its tree-lined streets and actual Czech people going about their daily lives. I spent hours just wandering around, grabbing coffee, watching people – it felt like discovering Prague beyond the postcard version.
The staff runs the place well without being overly formal about it. Check-in was smooth, they knew the neighborhood well enough to give solid recommendations, and when I had a minor issue with the room key one evening, it was sorted out in minutes. You can tell this isn’t some massive chain operation where you’re just another booking number. The 9.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Prague, but it nails what it’s going for. Clean, comfortable, well-located, and run by people who seem to actually care about the experience. If you want to stay somewhere that feels connected to the real Prague while still having all the modern conveniences, this place delivers. Just bring comfortable walking shoes for those hills.

The contact free check in & check out was very easy to navigate. Room was large & clean, with all the amenities needed for our stay.
What could be improved: The room was quite warm due to it being summer, and although there was a fan – it didn't really help much.Exceptional – Yasemin from Austria – 3 July 2025 (10/10)
Very beautiful room, comfortable bed, amazing shower. Everything was clean and the have thought of every detail. The yoga mat i a very kind and nice gesture and was definitely an upgrade. I am happy i choose numa for my stay and i would choose them again!
Superb – Marica from Serbia – 25 June 2025 (9/10)
What could be improved: There should be explanation how to use the shower, as it is not intuitive

A lot of spaceQuiet, huge room with good bathroom and a nice kitchen, comfy bed – Verena from Germany – 23 May 2025 (9/10)
Huge rainforest shower, the kitchen was perfectly equipped, 15 minutes to the city center, however very quit (no traffic noise and I also didn’t hear the neighbors at all).
What could be improved: Nothing to complain aboutExceptional – Gogoladze from Georgia – 21 May 2025 (10/10)
Clean and cozy room and interior is beautiful
What could be improved: The breakfast is a bit too light, and I would have liked to have a dessert option along with the main dish. This breakfast was not sufficient, especially for men.Nice place near old town – Stepan from Sweden – 14 May 2025 (10/10)
Clean, comfy bed, no noise, washing machine + dryier… everything was there.
Just be ready that there are no keys, all doors are locked with a 4-digit code. Also you'll need to take a picture of your documents and send it via Internet in order to check-in.
All in all I would recommend this place for a stay.Comfortable stay in Prague – Sandro from France – 7 May 2025 (8/10)
Very comfortable, well designed, well situated and spacious apartment
What could be improved: – Asked not to be on the ground floor. Ended up in a basement room… It was fine, but not optimal.
– The apartment gets quite cold due to the ventilation system, and it’s impossible to control it…Fabulous place with slight issues. – Petko from Bulgaria – 23 April 2025 (8/10)
The room space, incredibly comfortable bed, cleanliness, bathroom and overall comfort were some of the best that me and my girlfriend experience. The support, hassle free entrance and remote check in are great. Numa supply with coffee pods, tea and adequate kitchen utensils. The bathroom is spacious and equipped with soap, shampoo, lotion and conditioner in bottles.
The location is 15 min. walking distance to Vltava and the part of the river with boat restaurants and bars, 25 min. to the absolute city center. The area is rather quiet with options for dining and bars. Some small shops that work till relatively are also available.
What could be improved: Be aware when booking Large Studio with Kitchenette that it is an almost entirely underground and there is small covered windows so there is almost no natural light in the room. It would be not a big problem, if Numa properly communicated that fact when booking that room. They kind of misleading are showing a brightly lit room, but that it is not the case.
Also for 4 days, there was not a single cleaning of the room, which for the quality of the property is not good. Lastly the lack of reception service enable people to be inconsiderate to the other guests, the room next to ours were incredibly loud, to the point of maliciousness when asked to be more quiet.
