Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to New residence apartments near Wenceslas Square, you immediately get that “I’m in the heart of everything” feeling that makes Prague so addictive. This four-star property sits on Krakovská street, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better — you’re literally steps from Wenceslas Square but tucked away enough that you won’t hear every tram rattling by at dawn. The building has that classic Prague charm without feeling stuffy, and there’s something refreshing about staying in actual apartments rather than cookie-cutter hotel rooms.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what I love about this spot — you can walk to Prague Castle, Old Town Square, and the Charles Bridge without breaking a sweat, but you’re also surrounded by the kind of local cafes and shops that most tourists never find. Wenceslas Square is right there (hence the name), which means you’ve got the National Museum practically next door and some of the city’s best restaurants within a five-minute stroll. The couples who stay here absolutely rave about the location, and I get it — there’s something romantic about being able to wander Prague’s cobblestone streets and then retreat to your own little apartment sanctuary.

The Apartment Experience

What sets New residence apartments near Wenceslas Square apart is that you’re getting actual apartment living, not just a hotel room with a mini-fridge. The spaces feel like someone’s stylish Prague flat — you know, the kind you’d see on Instagram and immediately want to book a month-long stay. Each apartment has its own kitchen setup, which is brilliant if you want to grab fresh bread and cheese from the local markets and have breakfast on your own terms. The decor strikes that perfect balance between modern comfort and Prague’s historic character, and honestly, after a long day of sightseeing, having your own space to spread out makes all the difference.

Practical Perks

The building itself is well-maintained without being overly polished — it feels authentic, which is exactly what you want in Prague. The apartments come with all the essentials you’d expect from a four-star property, plus little touches that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. Having a proper kitchen means you can store those Czech beers you’ll inevitably buy too many of, and the extra space is perfect for couples who want to unpack properly rather than live out of suitcases. The whole setup just feels more civilized than cramming into a standard hotel room, especially if you’re staying more than a night or two.

Why Guests Love It

The location score speaks for itself — 9.6 out of 10 doesn’t happen by accident. You’re getting that rare combination of being central enough to walk everywhere that matters, but residential enough to feel like you’re actually experiencing Prague rather than just visiting it. The apartment-style accommodation means you can live a bit like a local, even if it’s just for a few days. Plus, there’s something satisfying about having your own front door key in a city this beautiful — it makes Prague feel less like a tourist destination and more like a place you could actually call home, at least temporarily.

Great location in the city centre, but still quiet. Check-in and communication was uncomplicated.
Apartment was clean and exactly as depicted in the pictures.
Overall a great stay for a city trip in Prague!

What could be improved: If you're staying longer and are planning to prepare meals, you might need some extra equipment.

Great location, clean, and super quiet.

What could be improved: The bed is worn out and the hot water kettle is not usable because it is too old and dirty.
