Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to Mottl House – I mean, it’s tucked right into Jungmannovo náměstí, which is basically Prague’s version of Times Square lite, and you know how touristy that whole area can get. But the moment you step inside, it’s like someone hit the mute button on all that chaos outside. The lobby has this understated elegance that feels authentically Czech rather than trying too hard to impress international visitors.

What really won me over was how the staff actually seemed to know Prague beyond the usual tourist script. When I mentioned I was looking for a decent coffee spot that wasn’t crawling with tour groups, the front desk guy – without missing a beat – pointed me toward a little place on Národní that locals actually use. That’s the kind of insight you don’t get at chain hotels. The rooms themselves are well thought out too, with proper blackout curtains (trust me, you’ll appreciate this if you’re dealing with jet lag) and bathrooms that don’t make you feel like you’re playing Tetris every time you need to move around. I stayed on the fourth floor and was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was – you’d think being right on the square would mean constant noise, but the windows do their job.

Location-wise, you’re literally a five-minute walk from Wenceslas Square, but more importantly, you’re positioned perfectly for exploring the real Prague. Můstek metro station is right there, which connects you to basically everywhere you’d want to go, and if you’re the type who likes to wander, the walk to Old Town Square takes maybe fifteen minutes through some genuinely charming streets. The neighborhood has that perfect mix of convenience and character – there’s a Tesco around the corner for essentials, but also these wonderful little wine bars tucked into basement spaces that you’d never find unless you were staying nearby. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra night because everything just felt so accessible from here. Sure, it’s not the cheapest option in Prague, but given the location and the fact that you’re getting genuine service rather than corporate politeness, the 8.9 rating makes total sense to me.

  We stayed here for one night, and it had everything we needed. The apartment was modern and well-equipped, with a stylish bathroom and a powerful shower. It was also in a great central location, making it easy to get around. Perfect for a short stay in Prague!

  The location of the facility is great. It has a charming atmosphere like Prague. The moment you step into the apartment, you step into another world. The design of the space is very nice. Watching the sunrise and sunset from the room is magnificent.

  The location is very good. It is in the city center and is a five to ten minute walk from most attractions. It is very convenient. There are supermarkets and Chinese restaurants downstairs. It was a very satisfying stay.
