But what I really appreciated was being close to some of the smaller streets where locals actually go – like, there’s this little bakery on Vězeňská that does incredible koláče, and you’d walk right past it if you were staying over by Wenceslas Square with all the other tourists. The tram stops are easy to reach when you want to venture out to Vinohrady or across the river, but honestly, most days I found myself just wandering the neighborhood on foot because everything felt so walkable. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no dramatic lobby scene, just efficient people who clearly know what they’re doing and can give you actual recommendations rather than just pointing to a tourist map.
