Modern urban room in the city center of Prague

Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Modern urban room in the city center of Prague on Nekázanka Street, you immediately get that “I’m in the thick of it” feeling. This four-star property sits right where you want to be — honestly, I’ve stayed in places that claimed to be central but required a 20-minute trek to anything interesting. Not here. You’re literally steps from Old Town Square, and I mean that in the most literal sense possible.

Location Magic

Here’s what I love about this spot — you can stumble out the front door and be at the Astronomical Clock in about three minutes. The apartment sits on a quiet side street, so you’re not dealing with the constant tourist chaos, but you’re close enough that everything feels accessible. Prague can be tricky that way; some areas look central on a map but feel disconnected when you’re actually walking around. This place gets it right, and apparently couples really appreciate that too — they’ve rated the location nearly perfect for romantic getaways.

The Space Itself

The room lives up to its “modern urban” name without being sterile or cold. You know how some contemporary spaces feel like nobody actually lives there? This feels more like staying in a well-designed city apartment that happens to be available for guests. The layout makes smart use of space — there’s actually room to spread out your stuff without everything feeling cramped. The kitchen area is compact but functional, which matters if you want to grab groceries from the nearby markets and save some money on meals.

Neighborhood Insights

What really sold me on this area is how it balances tourist access with local life. Sure, you can hit all the major sights easily, but you’re also near actual Czech pubs and cafes where locals hang out. The narrow cobblestone streets around here have this authentic medieval feel — you’re not in some sanitized tourist bubble. I actually discovered a fantastic traditional restaurant just two blocks away that I never would have found if I’d stayed in one of those big chain hotels near Wenceslas Square.

Why Guests Love It

The combination of authentic Prague atmosphere and modern comfort really works here. You get that historic city center experience without sacrificing practical amenities, and the location score of 9.8 isn’t just marketing fluff — it genuinely reflects how well-positioned this place is. Whether you’re planning romantic evening walks along the Vltava or want to explore Prague’s incredible architecture, you’re starting from the perfect base. The fact that it maintains a solid 8.5 rating tells you that guests consistently have good experiences, which honestly matters more than flashy amenities that look good in photos but don’t deliver in person.

Convenient location and comfortable

Convenient location.

What could be improved: The toilet and shower area was all see-through glass so privacy was lacking

I did enjoy it. Everything was perfect except that bathroom floor.

It was walking distance to the old town. Near restaurants.
It was clean and adfordable.

What could be improved: The bathroom was great but i dont like the fact that water goes near toilet when shower. It would be nice if there was a stopper on the floor between the shower and toilet so it wont flood the toilet after shower.

Pleasant

The location was superb - all main attractions were at a walking distance. Also - the direct tram to the O2 arena was close by (convenient for visitors going to shows/concerts at the arena).

What could be improved: There was a smell of cat urine in the room. I informed the host about the smell on the second day of my stay and they provided diffusers but that didn't really get rid of the smell. Fortunately the smell wasn't too intense so you got used to it after some time. Additionally the wifi was not working properly and on the last day the toilet water kept running after flushing.
