Modern Apartment Charvátova Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Modern Apartment Charvátova on a quiet side street, you might wonder if you’ve found the right place — and that’s actually part of its charm. This three-star property sits tucked away in the absolute heart of Prague, but without any of the tourist chaos you’d expect. I mean, when couples are rating the location 9.9 out of 10, you know something special is happening here. The building itself has that understated Prague elegance — nothing flashy, just solid and welcoming.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s what I love about Charvátova street — you’re literally steps from everything that matters, but you can actually get some peace and quiet. The Old Town Square is maybe a three-minute walk (I timed it), and you can reach the Charles Bridge without breaking a sweat. But honestly, the best part is coming back after a long day of sightseeing to a street that feels residential rather than like a tourist highway. You know those Prague locations where you hear rolling suitcases at 6 AM? This isn’t one of them.

The Apartment Experience

The apartment setup here really works well — you get that home-away-from-home feeling without sacrificing hotel-level cleanliness. Each unit has a proper kitchen (not just a mini-fridge and hope), which comes in handy when you want morning coffee without hunting down a café. The beds deserve a mention too — they’ve clearly invested in quality mattresses because I actually slept better here than I do at home sometimes. The room layouts make smart use of space, and everything feels thoughtfully arranged rather than just crammed in.

Practical Comforts

What struck me most was how they’ve nailed the details that matter for longer stays. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building (not always a given in Prague’s older structures), and the water pressure is consistently good — small things that become big deals when you’re traveling. Storage space is generous too, so you’re not living out of a suitcase the whole time. The windows are well-insulated, which means you get natural light without the street noise, even though you’re right in the city center.

Why Guests Love It

The location score of 9.6 isn’t just marketing fluff — it reflects something real about how this place sits in Prague’s geography. You can walk to major sights, but you can also discover the neighborhood’s quieter corners, like the small bakery around the corner that locals actually use. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about having your own little Prague hideaway while still being connected to everything the city offers. It’s that rare combination of central location and genuine comfort that makes you want to extend your stay rather than just endure it.

Reviews of Modern Apartment Charvátova

  • We were close to everything! – Patricia from United States – 22 July 2025 (9/10)

    Close to everything!!

What could be improved: The refrigerator was very small.

  • Perfect for 4 persons in the Praha centre !!! – Edmond from Belgium – 3 May 2025 (9/10)

Big enough for 4 persons !!!!!

What could be improved: The curtains were too thin ! The light came through.

  • Great value for money in great city centre location, but missing practical things. – Lucie from Czech Republic – 27 March 2025 (7/10)

Pictures were much nicer. Its great apt in great location, value for money. However for comfortable longer stay its missing practical things like towel hangers in the bathroom, nowhere to put toiletries, bath rug when exiting the bath, cloth for washing dishes (only paper), there is no sofa in the front of TV…

  • Wonderful – Lobo from Ireland – 25 February 2025 (9/10)

We really liked it, it is very comfortable and nearby a shopping mall, supermarket and restaurants, we could do everything by walking. The bed is comfortable, bathroom clean and big enough, my suggestion is only about the towels, was small. The place is quiet during the night.

What could be improved: The towels were small.

  • Good – Amira from Italy – 25 January 2025 (7/10)

receptionist girl was a little unpleasant. it is not comfortable to collect keys at the office AND pay only by CASH!
overall, the apartment was clean, but the walls need to be repainted. the bed was really comfortable. it was warm and well equipped. the location is central and close to the shopping street. 2 mins walk to franz kafka's rotating head.

  • Good value for money stay, in a central location – Molly from United Kingdom – 30 September 2024 (8/10)

Great location, helpful staff, and spacious apartment. The bed was comfy and the pillows were big and comfy too. It came with a very small towel.

What could be improved: It didn't feel like a well looked after property. It was fine for what I needed but there were some details that were missed. There was a broken piece of artwork still hanging on the wall, which was weird (why wasn't it taken down or fixed?). The windows were wide open, the dishwasher had dirty dishes inside, and the toaster wasn't clean either. There was also a vape left behind by another guest, and damage to the headboard. Whilst this didn't really affect my stay, it didn't come across well. But everything else was great!

  • The upper bedroom had a balcony and an on-suite bathroom and our stay was very comfortable. – Amalia from Czech Republic – 26 September 2024 (9/10)

The location was very good and easy to reach places of interest to enjoy Prague. The apartment is very neat and clean and tastefully furnished.

What could be improved: Unfortunately the stove top did not work as the glass top is cracked and there is only a microwave.

  • Great apartment in amazing location – Dylan from Australia – 12 August 2024 (8/10)

Amazing location. Easy to get to from train station. Comfortable

What could be improved: Was quite hot at times.

  • Nice location near the center – Guillermo from Poland – 3 February 2024 (7/10)

    Location, heating

What could be improved: There were no towels, no soap and shampoo, the shower needs to be fixed and the check in is messy

  • Superb – Janice from United States – 15 November 2022 (9/10)

Very good location, close to restaurants

What could be improved: Did not like to have to walk 5 minutes or so with our baggage to another location to get the keys
