Hotel Description

Honestly, MeetMe23 caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible. When you first walk up to Washingtonova 23, you’re not exactly expecting much from what looks like a pretty standard building in Prague’s New Town. But step inside and you realize someone actually thought about what travelers need, not just what looks good in photos.

The thing about this place is its location – you’re literally a five-minute walk from Wenceslas Square, but tucked away enough that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. I stayed here during shoulder season and could walk to the main train station in maybe ten minutes, which saved me a fortune on taxis. The Old Town is right there too, though honestly, after a day of wandering those cobblestones, you’ll appreciate coming back to a neighborhood where locals actually live and work. There’s this great little bakery just around the corner that opens ridiculously early – perfect if you’re dealing with jet lag and need real coffee at 6 AM.

What struck me most about MeetMe23 was how they nailed the details without trying to be fancy about it. The rooms are clean and well-thought-out (I mean, actual bedside outlets – revolutionary, right?), and the staff genuinely seems to know Prague beyond just the tourist highlights. When I asked about getting to Vinohrady for dinner, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward the metro – he suggested which tram to take and mentioned this wine bar that locals frequent. That 9-point rating makes sense when you experience it firsthand. Sure, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or a rooftop pool, but everything works properly and feels thoughtfully maintained. The shower pressure was actually decent, the Wi-Fi didn’t cut out every five minutes, and – this might sound weird – but the hallways didn’t have that musty hotel carpet smell that haunts so many European properties. Check-in was smooth even though I arrived kind of late, and they had solid recommendations for everything from late-night eats to where to catch the best sunset views over the city. You know what really sold me though? The breakfast wasn’t trying to be everything to everyone – just good coffee, fresh bread, and local touches that reminded you where you were without being gimmicky about it.

  I loved the room, it was very cool, It had 2 floors and very comfortable beds. The room was quiet even on the lower levels. Breakfast was very good with a variety of delicious options, and last but not least the staff were lovely, kind, and beautiful.

  The room was big and very clean with a fantastic view of the city. Beds were separated so no one had to climb on top of the other. Bathroom and toilet were clean too.
  The hotel was very close to the big train station so it was convenient to travel around. Luggage storage for free (some places charge you for this).

  I was 2nd time in Prague in last 2 years and 2nd time was staying in MeetMe23. That is the best proof that I am more then satisfied with everything – rooms, beds, cleanliness, staff and location.
  
  What could be improved: The price is a little bit higher then it should be. There are a lot of cheaper places around with good services too. No matter to that, MeetMe23 will stay my first choice when it comes to decide about place to stay in Prague. But, in order to keep old clientele, maybe you can considere to revise your price politics.
  
  Second, breakfast is decent, but there is room for improvement – to be more varied or to change its contents every morning.

  Spacious, very clean, well located and supportive staff. Clean and comfortable bathroom and the toilet which are separate from the other but is located inside the room which is great. Right next to the train station and walking distance to metro and tram lines. Walkable to old town
  
  What could be improved: The room temperature is not consistent throughout in the dorm, especially to upstair beds. It can get rather hot and uncomfortable.
  You can also hear the water being flushed down right next to your head (upstair bed) if that is something that will bother you.

  What could be improved: i didnt know that they mainly offer shared rooms with strangers so when i walked in ti the room i was a vit shocked as there was 5 other men be carefull when booking if j want ur iwn room u have to specify that and ut costs more money
