Maison Residence Prague Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Maison Residence Prague on Tyršova street, you immediately get the sense that this four-star property takes itself seriously — but in a good way. The building has that understated elegance that Prague does so well, where historic charm meets modern comfort without trying too hard. I mean, you’re right in one of the city’s most sought-after neighborhoods, and honestly, the location alone justifies the stay.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re actually in the heart of Prague without feeling like you’re stuck in a tourist trap. The area around Tyršova has this perfect mix of local life and accessibility to everything you want to see. You can walk to the major sights, but you’re also surrounded by the kind of cafes and shops that locals actually use. The couples who stay here consistently rave about the location, and after spending time in the area, I totally get why they rate it so highly for romantic getaways.
The Living Space
The apartment setup here is what really sets this place apart from your typical hotel experience. Each unit feels more like a well-appointed city residence than a standard hotel room — there’s actual space to spread out and settle in. The kitchen facilities mean you can grab fresh ingredients from the local markets and actually cook if you want to, though honestly, with Prague’s food scene right outside your door, you might not use it much. The design strikes that sweet spot between functional and stylish without being overly precious about it.
Getting Around
One thing that surprised me was how walkable everything is from here. You don’t really need to worry much about parking or public transport for most of your Prague exploration — the major attractions are genuinely within walking distance. When you do need to venture further out, the connections are solid, but I found myself just wandering the streets more often than not. There’s something about this particular corner of the city that makes you want to explore on foot.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Prague has no shortage of places to stay, but this residence nails the balance between location, comfort, and that hard-to-define feeling of actually living in the city rather than just visiting it. The consistently high ratings aren’t just about the excellent location score — though that 9.5 rating tells you something important about how well-positioned this place really is. It’s more about how the whole experience comes together: the space to breathe, the neighborhood that feels authentic, and the sense that you’re staying somewhere that locals would actually choose if they were hosting friends from out of town. You know what I mean? It’s that kind of place where you start planning your next Prague trip before you’ve even checked out.

Exceptional – Christina from Cyprus – 26 March 2025 (10/10)
Spacious apartment with good soundproofing. Great location too.
Great location – Stefania from Greece – 24 October 2024 (8/10)
We really liked the location, it was close to a lot of touristic places and very close to 2 tram stations and a metro station. The beds were comfortable, the heater was working properly, there were clean towels in the bathroom. The check in and check out process were very easy and simple, we got information and guidance before we arrived which was very much appreciated.
What could be improved: The only thing that we didn't like was the fact that there were stains on the toilet seat. We carry disinfectant wipes, so it was easy for us to clean, but not really acceptable and yucky. Also, under the bed there was a huge amount of dust and a chewing gum under one of the nightstands, leading us to believe that they only clean the surface of the room that's visible. Also the tv was very slow, but it wasn't significant. Other than that, it was a good value for money and a perfect location, so all these didn't really matter to us.Nice place to stay in Prague – Marian from Poland – 26 April 2024 (8/10)
The apartment itself is quite nice and comfortable, located in a historic building in Prague 2 district, meaning it is a bit of walking if you want to get to the Old Town – we did not mind that. Most likely you will not use the balcony extensively, as the street underneath is quite noisy, but it is nice to have a peek outside, or sit outside for a bit. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped to have a nice breakfast or simple dinner. We did not need to use the washing machine, but it was in the bathroom, which is a great thing if you travel for a while and run out of clothes.
What could be improved: That may be a persona preference, but the bed was too soft for us.
We also had a considerable trouble getting in when we arrived. The message with the instruction to enter (self check in mode) was sent way too late and only got to us when we were standing outside the building, wondering how to enter and whether it was the right place, as there was no information on the building that this accommodation is located there, while the address was not provided at the time of booking. This was resolved within some 30 minutes, and we had no further problems, except the chip/code to enter the building did not work for us, but the doors could be opened without it (maybe it was broken?).
As per the cleanliness, it was predominantly clean, while if you have an eye for details, you would spot some issues, such as dirty kitchen utensils and drawers, or someone's long hair on a shelf with the shampoos and stuff in the bathroom.
Our windows were on Legerova street, which is pretty noisy. We were on the 2nd floor, even though we booked an apartment which was supposed to be on the 4th floor (hoping to be further away from the noise). With the windows closed, it was not a problem, but we were staying in April, so we could keep those closed at night.Exceptional – Junwoo from South Korea – 25 February 2024 (10/10)
Good – Aurora from Italy – 31 October 2022 (7/10)
The apartment itself was great, there was everything we needed with metro and tram stops nearby.
What could be improved: The staff was a bit impolite while answering our questions.Amazing stay – Rohan from India – 21 October 2022 (10/10)
Amazing property, nice clean and spacious apartment very close to the IP Pavlova subway station (7-8 mins walk). The building is new and has an elevator. Super smooth check in process.
What could be improved: Nothing.everything was fine, but the seal on the shower door needs to be replaced – Vladyslava from Ukraine – 15 October 2022 (9/10)
clean room, comfortable bed, soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, towels, everything was provided. Convenient location, near metro
What could be improved: The windows overlooked the road, if you open it, it was noisy.Superb – Pierrosha from Israel – 30 September 2022 (9/10)
Everything was great! This place has all you can need from kitchen to shower. And a location is good – 5 mins walk from metro and tram station and 15 minutes walk from center. Also, there's a Zabka supermarket right across the street.
What could be improved: The pillows are awful! Maybe it's just us but the pillows are the worst! Also, we arrived early so I asked the host if we can leave our luggage somewhere before the check in and she said to ask a concierge about it. Surprisingly there was no concierge, it's a regular building. But we managed.
