Main train station apartment close to the the Main Square! Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked up to Main train station apartment close to the the Main Square!, I’ll be honest — the name pretty much tells you everything you need to know about why this place works so well. It’s one of those four-star properties that doesn’t try to be fancy, but absolutely nails the fundamentals. The building sits right on Opletalova street, and you can literally hear the hum of Praha Hlavní nádraží (the main train station) just around the corner — which sounds annoying but is actually brilliant when you’re hauling luggage.
Location Magic
Here’s what I love about this spot in Prague — you’re basically in the sweet spot between tourist central and real city life. The main square (Wenceslas Square, though locals just call it Václavák) is maybe a three-minute walk, but you’re far enough away that you won’t be dealing with street performers at midnight. I mean, you can grab breakfast, walk to the Old Town Square, see the astronomical clock, and be back for an afternoon nap without breaking a sweat. The metro entrance is right there too, so getting to Prague Castle or anywhere else is ridiculously easy.
The Space Itself
The apartment setup here is what really sets it apart from typical hotel rooms. You get a proper living area that doesn’t feel cramped, and honestly, after spending days walking on cobblestones, having space to spread out makes all the difference. The kitchen isn’t huge, but it’s got everything you need if you want to grab some Czech bread and cheese from the market instead of eating out every meal. The room itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel — which couples seem to really appreciate, based on what I’ve seen.
Practical Perks
What actually surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re basically in the city center. The windows do a decent job blocking out street noise, and there’s something oddly comforting about hearing the occasional tram rumble by. The building has that classic Prague architecture thing going on — high ceilings, solid walls, the kind of place that’s been around forever and will probably outlast us all. Parking can be tricky in this area (like most of central Prague), but honestly, you won’t need a car anyway.
Why Guests Love It
You know what really works about this place? It’s that perfect balance of being right in the action without feeling touristy. I’ve stayed in fancier places in Prague that felt sterile, and I’ve stayed in cheaper spots that were too far from everything interesting. This hits that sweet spot where you can stumble back from a late dinner in the Old Town, but also grab an early train to Vienna or Budapest without the stress of crossing the city with your bags. The fact that couples rate it so highly makes sense — there’s something romantic about having your own little Prague apartment, even if it’s just for a few nights.

Reviews of Main train station apartment close to the the Main Square!
Very good value, good quality. – Guy from Australia – 22 May 2025 (9/10)
The building was very elegant, in a great location near the railway station, opposite a small police station (felt safe) and near the old town. Very private and quiet. Great value for first visit to Prague.
What could be improved: Mezzanine steps a little intimidating, but no mishaps.Exceptional – Mladen from Germany – 11 April 2025 (10/10)
Hosts were nice, everything was very well explained, location was perfect, and the place itself was very clean and comfy.
Great location and place for solo travelers—it has all you could need for your stay. – Samantha from United States – 17 February 2025 (9/10)
The location was great. The station was super close but you could also walk to Old Town very easily. Lots to do around there. The bed was super comfy and the place was very clean. Towels were provided and so were two comforters. The sofa also came out into a sofa bed and the place could easily fit four. Check-in was super easy and the place felt very safe for a solo traveler.
What could be improved: The only thing that confused me was the light. It would go out sometimes and I couldn't get the overhead/main light to always stay on, but it didn't bother me because there was plenty of other lighting.Excellent – Johanna from Australia – 12 December 2024 (10/10)
Cosy, cute, very comfortable
Exceptional – Shend from Kosovo – 5 December 2024 (10/10)
I had a wonderful experience staying at this apartment in Prague. The space was phenomenal for a couple, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The staff's responses were always prompt and helpful. The location was absolutely the best part – I never needed to use public transport since everything was within walking distance, just a few meters away.
Exceptional – Suzana from Albania – 21 November 2024 (10/10)
I find everything good, the staf was really friendly, the apartment was perfect, clean, comfortable, very good located.
I really recommend this place for everyone who wants a quite and comfortable place to stay.
What could be improved: Nothing everything was perfect 😊Superb – Higinio from United States – 5 June 2024 (9/10)
Near to the center of the city. Good facilities in property. Very helpful staff. Good communication with the staff
Convenient location and comfortable stay! Host response could do a little bit better though. – Karen from Philippines – 27 May 2024 (9/10)
We absolutely loved the location! Everything was within reach, easily walkable from the apartment. We were a group of 3 and we slept comfortably. We also loved that they had a website where you can put all the information they needed, and request for an airport transfer so their driver picked us up and he had the keys. We liked the convenience of that as well.
What could be improved: The stairs are very steep, not recommendable for older people or kids for their safety. We had big luggages so it was a little bit cramped. Communication with the host is poor, they were responsive before the stay but when we came and we were looking for the iron as I've asked they had this in the apartment – they were slow to reply and provide this. We also asked for additional fans since it was quite hot inside but this was not provided. We also had questions about the heating/airconditioning that was left unanswered, but other than that, everything was good!Good location but not sure about the bedroom – Lee from United Kingdom – 28 March 2024 (8/10)
Location was great.
What could be improved: Staircase leading to bedroom was more like climbing a ladder, plus you are unable to stand upright in bedroom as ceiling is quite low.Helpful hosts, good facilities, small sized studio placed right in city centre – Sk_r_ from United Kingdom – 8 May 2023 (9/10)
Proximity to city centre, good facilities in property, very helpful staff, easy taxi transfer booking by hosts to/from airport, availability of waiting/luggage-hold area at property management office
What could be improved: Availability of a set of firm pillows (only supersoft currently available) would have improved our sleep.
The wooden steps to the bed are steep and a little slippery which is a safety concern when we also had to carry a baby to the top. The height of the roof near the bed also doesn't permit you to stand straight on the floor.
