Hotel Description

Look, when I first walked into Main Prague Square apartments, I’ll be honest – the name had me expecting some touristy setup right on Old Town Square with all the chaos that comes with it. But here’s the thing: it’s actually on Opletalova, which is this perfect sweet spot about a seven-minute walk from all the main action. You know what that means? You get the gorgeous historic building (we’re talking high ceilings and those classic Prague windows) without drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 2 AM.

The sauna situation is what really sold me, honestly. After spending December days wandering around Wenceslas Square and getting absolutely frozen, coming back to your own private sauna feels like pure luxury. And the fireplace – I mean, it’s not just decorative. On those bitter Prague nights when the wind whips down from the castle, you’ll actually use this thing. The apartments themselves feel more like staying in a well-appointed Prague flat than a hotel room, which I love. Full kitchens, real living spaces, and enough room to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The location puts you right between New Town and Old Town, so you’re walking distance to both the tourist essentials and the actual neighborhoods where locals grab coffee.

What I really appreciate is how they’ve kept the authentic Prague character – those thick walls mean it’s genuinely quiet, and the building has that solid, old-world feel you can’t fake. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area (honestly, just use the metro), but the Muzeum station is practically around the corner, so you’re connected to everything. The 8.5 rating makes sense to me because while it’s not trying to be the Four Seasons, it nails what it’s going for: a proper Prague experience with modern comforts. During summer you’ll want to book way ahead since everyone wants these kinds of authentic stays, but if you can snag it during shoulder season, you’re getting incredible value in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities.

Early hotels booking in Prague is essential during major events like the Prague Spring Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned classical music scene and Gothic architecture.

Reviews

  • Daniel from United Kingdom – 27 January 2024 (9/10)

The apartment was delightful, pristine, and newly built, situated in the heart of Old Town Prague just a minute away from the Railway restaurant. Accommodating up to 7 people, it featured three queen-sized beds and a spacious sofa.

What could be improved: I couldn't find the sauna, but we didn't have time to go in it even if we did. I wonder if we had the apartment with the fireplace and there is another with the sauna. But i never tried to contact them to find out, and I agree with the pillows. I think they need changing to firmer ones. Overall I would stop here again in a heartbeat

  • Ewa from Poland – 5 August 2024 (9/10)

We had an amazing time. The location was great. Next door stores, restaurants, and 15 minutes walk to the city square. It was clean, with comfortable beds, and a nice large bathroom.

  • Yiu from Hong Kong – 28 July 2024 (8/10)

The kitchen was wonderful and amenities were plentiful. The location was great, close to the main station and shopping street leading to the old city centre.

What could be improved: The space was a little small. The television didn't work, and the door lock was a bit confusing and we took quite some time trying to open it.

  • Svetlana from Spain – 31 May 2024 (9/10)

We had a great stay at this apartment in Prague. It was clean and cozy, perfect for two couples or a family with kids. The apartment had everything we needed, including lots of towels and kitchen supplies. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets.

The location is very central, so we walked everywhere, but there are a metro and tram stops nearby if needed. Also, there was a nice supermarket 5 min away walking. Overall, a great place to stay in Prague.

What could be improved: The only downside is that the windows face the street, which might be noisy if you sleep with the windows open. We just closed the windows at night and it was fine.

  • Markus from Germany – 14 December 2024 (9/10)

Great place and pretty central. A few minutes walk from the main train station. You pick up your keys basically on the way and the rest is self explaning. Everything was tidy and clean. We had a great stay in Prague – it's a beautiful city with super friendly people, great architecture, good food, tasty beer and a very unique and easy vibe.

  • Krishnan from New Zealand – 9 October 2024 (9/10)

Awesome apartment. Close to shops and public transport. Sauna within the apartment. Very clean ,tidy and spacious.

  • Pavel from Bulgaria – 7 April 2024 (9/10)

Perfect location, clean and spacious apartment.
There was a working sauna in the kitchen!
The kids loved the space, too.

What could be improved: There were no instructions for the TV, but even when I got them, all channels were either PPV or in Czech…
Parking in Prague is difficult and expensive.
The bed was too soft, the pillows were awfully fluffy.

  • Marianna from Hungary – 24 March 2025 (9/10)

A szállás nagyon jó helyen van, közel az állomáshoz és a belvárosban, ahonnan minden könnyen elérhető.
Praktikusan kialakított, rendezett, tiszta szállás. Nagyon jól éreztük magunkat.
