You know what struck me first about this place? The name is honestly a bit of a mouthful – Luxury & Quiet charming 2bds near river – Nek2nd – but it’s actually pretty accurate once you’re there. I mean, they could’ve just called it “that lovely spot on Neklanova,” because that’s really what it is. The location at number 20 puts you right in this sweet residential pocket where locals actually live, not just another tourist trap area. You’re close enough to the Vltava that you can hear it if you really listen, but far enough that you’re not dealing with all the river cruise crowds that clog up the main waterfront areas.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home that they’ve graciously let you borrow – and I mean that in the best way possible. Two bedrooms that don’t feel cramped (honestly, rare for Prague), and there’s this lived-in comfort that a lot of hotels try to fake but never quite nail. The “luxury” part might be overselling it a bit – it’s more like really good quality everything rather than over-the-top fancy. Think solid wooden floors that don’t creak, a kitchen where all the appliances actually work properly, and beds that don’t leave you wondering what spring is poking your back. The quiet part though? Absolutely true. Neklanova is one of those streets where the loudest thing you’ll hear is probably someone walking their dog or the occasional tram in the distance.

What I really appreciated was how it sits in this genuinely local neighborhood – you’ve got that little grocery store just around the corner where the owner nods at you by day three, and you’re walking distance from Vinohrady proper without being right in the thick of tourist central. The 7.9 rating feels about right, actually. It’s not going to blow your mind with marble bathrooms or a concierge in a fancy uniform, but it delivers exactly what it promises. Check-in was straightforward (no weird key pickup situations), parking isn’t impossible if you need it, and honestly, after a long day of castle-hopping and beer-drinking, coming back here feels like retreating to a friend’s place rather than just another hotel room. The four-star rating makes sense too – it’s definitely a step up from your basic tourist accommodation, but it’s not trying to be the Grand Hotel Europa either. If you want to experience Prague like you’re actually living there for a few days instead of just passing through, this is your spot.

  What could be improved: not the owner's fault but some roadworks were going on on the street below so for those of us on the sofa bed it was a little noisy.

  Big property which was clean and comfortable. Comfortable big sofa, good kitchen with everything you need. Good host replies fast and is very helpful. Good location, safe and quiet.
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom doors dont have locks and are mainly made out of glass so you can see anyone inside. The bed was very squeaky even when you sit on it, it makes a loud sound. There was a very disgusting sewage smell coming from the shower and progressively got worse. This smell was there when we entered however it wasn’t as bad at the start.

  What could be improved: Não é claramente ideal para 6 pessoas. O segundo quarto é muito pequeno sem espaço para mexer ou guardar coisas. As portas das casas de banho são de vidro e não permitem privacidade.

  Sala de estar e cozinha amplos.
  
  What could be improved: Quartos e banheiros. Colchão duro, Falta ar condicionado ou ventilador para os dias quentes. Segundo banheiro muito apertado. Como estava quente precisei deixar a janela do quarto aberta, porém haviam fumantes todos as noites no térreo então a fumaça do cigarro adentrava o quarto.
