Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to the Luxury Family Hotel Bílá Labuť on Biskupská street, I wasn’t exactly blown away by the exterior. It’s tucked into this narrow street in Prague’s Old Town, and you might actually walk past it if you’re not paying attention. But here’s the thing about Prague hotels – sometimes the most unassuming facades hide the best surprises inside.
The moment you step through those doors, you get it. The lobby has this warm, lived-in elegance that feels authentically Czech rather than trying too hard to impress international guests. You know what I mean? It’s got character without being stuffy. The staff actually remembers your name after day one, which honestly surprised me given how busy they get during peak season. And speaking of busy – if you’re planning to visit in summer, book way ahead because families absolutely love this place, and for good reason. The rooms are genuinely spacious by European standards (I mean, you can actually open your suitcase without climbing over it), and they’ve clearly thought about what traveling families need. Extra pillows without asking, blackout curtains that work, and – this might sound small but it’s huge – the bathroom doors don’t slam shut at 2 AM when your kid needs to use the toilet.
What really sold me on this place though is the location knowledge you get from the front desk. Forget the generic tourist maps – these folks will tell you that the best goulash in the neighborhood is actually two blocks down at this tiny place locals go to, or that if you walk five minutes toward Wenceslas Square early in the morning, you’ll hit this bakery that does incredible pastries before the tour groups discover it. The 7.2 rating might seem middling, but I think that’s just people expecting glitz when what you’re getting here is substance. Sure, the WiFi can be spotty on the upper floors, and the elevator is… well, it’s vintage, let’s say. But the beds are comfortable, the heating actually works (crucial in Prague winters), and there’s something to be said for staying somewhere that feels like part of the neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble. Plus, you’re a genuine five-minute walk from the Astronomical Clock, but far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with street noise until 3 AM. That’s the sweet spot in Prague, honestly.
Early hotels booking in Prague is essential during major events like the Prague Spring Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned classical music scene and Gothic architecture.

What could be improved: Great room, does the trick just too noisey in the night with doors slamming. Had to have window open because it was way to hot in the room but could hear loads outside. The location is great, the beds are comfortable and the price is reasonable.
What could be improved: There is no AC in the rooms, so if you are staying here during summer, you need to keep the windows open at night. Unfortunately my room faced the backyard where there are homeless people living and one of them was really sick on my first night, so I had to choose between listening to him or boiling in the room. The second night someone was smoking weed in one of the neighbouring rooms' window, so my room got filled with the smell quickly and I couldn't get rid of it. The floor tiles were sticking in the elevator and lobby area during my whole stay, so I had to clean my shoes whenever I got to the room. Also, the corridors mostly smell from cigarettes.Prodalea from Romania – 15 August 2024 (8/10)
city very Nice
What could be improved: Price are High
