The moment you walk up Ve Smečkách – and honestly, most tourists butcher the pronunciation but the locals are pretty forgiving – you realize you’ve lucked into one of those rare Prague finds that’s actually in the thick of things without being touristy. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from Wenceslas Square, but somehow you’ve escaped that carnival atmosphere that can get pretty exhausting after a day or two.
The duplex itself is… well, let’s just say whoever designed this place actually gets what travelers want. The terrace – and I’m talking a proper terrace here, not some tiny balcony where you can barely fit a chair – overlooks the neighborhood rooftops in this really satisfying way. You can sit out there with your morning coffee (there’s a decent Nespresso machine, thank god) and watch Prague wake up without feeling like you’re putting on a show for the street below. The space feels genuinely luxurious without being stuffy, if that makes sense. Two levels means you can spread out, and honestly after cramming into standard hotel rooms across Europe, having actual room to breathe feels like such a win.
What really sold me on this spot though is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’ve got Náměstí Míru just a short tram ride away if you want that local park vibe, but you’re also close enough to stumble back from the Old Town after maybe one too many Pilsners – not that I’m speaking from experience or anything. The building itself is solid, so you don’t get that paper-thin wall situation that plagues a lot of Prague accommodations. I slept through the night even on weekends, which around here is honestly pretty impressive. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward hunting around for a reception desk that doesn’t exist. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a day; it’s those little touches that add up, like actually good water pressure and windows that open properly so you can get that Prague air flowing through without wrestling with ancient hardware. If you’re the type who likes being walking distance from everything that matters but still wants to feel like you have a proper home base, this place just… works.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Prague at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous cultural festivals and outdoor concerts.

The apartment is very beautiful and we were very comfortable, there was everything we needed for living. Also apartment was very clean, it is very important for us. It was very hot in Prague during the stay, so we were very happy that the apartment was equipped with air conditioning

Everything you could possibly need was available at the property, the host was amazing and gave plenty of recommendations on things to do.

Honza our host contacted us day before we arrived via What’s App checking our arrival time so he could meet us at the property. He also advised how far we were from the airport, Honza showed us around apartment. He gave us two sets of keys. Honza also sent links for places to eat, sightsee and dance. Honza was extremely helpful. Even to the point on our last day we left apartment locked up headed to the city before we return home, unfortunately , we had left an item in the apartment, we contacted Konza who kindly found item and met us to return it before we set off to the airport, what incredible service thank you so much Honza.

Beautiful property with everything you need, hand soap, shower toiletries, toilet roll, washing and dishwashing bits.. plenty of space and loads of storage

Fantastic and stylish Loft in very convenient location in the center, with everything that is needed to make the stay comfortable. The aircondition was working fine and extremely welcome as we had 37 C in July.
