You know what? I was honestly skeptical when I first saw “LUX Penthouse Apartments” in the booking description – seemed like one of those places that oversells itself. But walking up Vodičkova street and actually stepping into this place, I get it now. The building itself is this beautiful old Prague structure that’s been completely renovated inside, so you get that classic European charm from the street but everything actually works properly once you’re in your room.

The location is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the bottom of Wenceslas Square, which sounds touristy (and okay, it sort of is), but here’s the thing – you’re positioned on the quieter end of Vodičkova, so you don’t get the late-night party noise that hits the hotels right on the square itself. I mean, you can still hear some city sounds – it’s Prague, not a monastery – but nothing that kept me awake. Plus, being this close to the square means you can walk to pretty much everything: the National Museum is right there, and you can cut through the passages to get to Old Town without dealing with trams. The metro entrance at Muzeum is maybe three blocks away, which is honestly perfect for day trips.

What really impressed me was how they’ve designed these apartments. The “penthouse” part isn’t just marketing fluff – the top-floor units actually have these great city views, and even the lower floors feel spacious and bright. The kitchens are properly equipped (not just a mini-fridge and a prayer), which matters if you want to grab groceries from the Tesco down the street instead of eating out every meal. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too – they’ve got this system where they text you the access codes, so no awkward lobby waiting. The whole place feels more like staying in a local’s apartment than a hotel, but with actual customer service when you need it. Honestly, with a 9.1 rating, I was expecting maybe some overselling, but they’ve earned those scores. It’s the kind of place where you can actually settle in for a few days and feel like you’re living in Prague, not just passing through it.

  What could be improved: The lift is a bit annoying as it only fits 3 people and is super slow. Having a "noise sensor" in the apartment might be a good solutions to potential noise issues. However, we were not informed that this device will be fitted in the apartment and when one of my friends unplugged it (not knowing what it was) to use the USBC to charge his phone we were promptly asked to plug it back in. A device that potentially records all of your conversations feels like a violation of privacy

  La struttura Non era minimamente insonorizzata e , per via della legislatura ceca, l’ora del silenzio parte dalle 22 e deve essere rigorosamente rispettata.
  Inoltre dalle stanze ai piani superiori, le finestrelle non avevano possibilità di essere oscurate , quindi alle 5.00 siamo stati svegliati da sole senza possibilità di oscurare la stanza
