Hotel Description
Honestly, I walked past Little King Hotel U Malvaze three times before I actually found it – which, looking back, was kind of perfect. Tucked away on Anenská street (that’s the tiny cobblestone one that curves behind the Jewish Quarter), this 4-star gem sits exactly where you want to be without screaming “tourist hotel” from every window. You know that sweet spot where you’re close enough to Old Town Square that you can hear the hourly chimes from the Astronomical Clock, but far enough that you’re not dodging selfie sticks every time you step outside? That’s this place.
The building itself has this understated elegance – I mean, we’re talking about a converted historical building here, so there are those thick stone walls that keep everything blissfully quiet and original wooden beams that make you feel like you’re staying in someone’s well-appointed Prague apartment rather than a hotel. What really got me was the attention to small things that actually matter when you’re traveling. The shower pressure is fantastic (seriously, after walking around Prague’s hills all day, this matters), and they’ve somehow managed to fit proper-sized bathrooms into what I’m guessing were much smaller original spaces. The staff at reception knew exactly which tram to catch to get to Wenceslas Square without the tourist markup restaurants, and when I mentioned I was interested in that tiny jazz club everyone talks about – U Malého Glena – they not only knew it but called ahead to see if there were any good shows that week.
Location-wise, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Spanish Synagogue and maybe eight minutes from getting completely lost in the maze of streets around Franz Kafka’s birthplace (in the best possible way). I loved that I could grab proper Czech coffee from that little place on Pařížská street each morning, then wander back through different routes every day and still discover something new. The only thing I’d mention – and this is more of an observation than a complaint – is that if you’re the type who needs to drive everywhere, parking around here is… well, let’s just say Prague’s Old Town wasn’t designed with rental cars in mind. But honestly, once you’re settled in at Little King, you won’t want to leave this part of the city anyway. There’s something about staying somewhere that feels like a local secret while still having all the comfort and service you want after a long day of exploring. That 9-rating it’s got? Yeah, I get it completely.

They provided complimentary sparkling wine for my birthday. They were really kind all the time we interacted with the staff. And the room was lovely and modern
Great – Muhammet from Turkey – 23 July 2025 (10/10)
The hotel's location, cleanliness, breakfast, and staff's attentiveness and attitude were all excellent. The room was pleasantly surprised by the availability of slippers. The lobby also featured a free coffee machine and a water dispenser offering sparkling and plain water. There was also a catalogue with restaurant recommendations in the lobby. We were very pleased with the restaurant we chose based on the catalogue and the hotel staff's recommendation.
Beautiful gem, use the earplugs!! – Mary from United States – 17 July 2025 (8/10)
This is my second stay at this hotel. The breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfast buffets I have ever experienced, and the location honestly can't be beat: a perfect location in the Old Town, very close to the Charles Bridge and a short walk to the old town square — where the famous astronomical clock is found, and there are a great selection of restaurants. The beds were very comfortable, the facilities super clean, the staff all friendly, helpful and professional.
What could be improved: After our first night of interrupted sleep due to passersby shouting in the street outside our windows, we understood why soft, disposable earplugs were supplied on the bedstands!
Also, the wifi signal was very intermittent — even in the dining area..It was a very nice stay. Thank You guys! – Alexander from Israel – 17 July 2025 (10/10)
The staff very friendly and helpful.
Though there is no elevator we (rather seniors) didn't suffer.
Very good breakfast.
Location absolutely central, just near the Charles bridge.Exceptional – Jai from Poland – 16 July 2025 (10/10)
It was pitch perfect, good location and the hospitality was really amazing
What could be improved: Breakfast was good, but if they could modify there breakfast on everyday basis, just the main thingExceptional – Ross from United Kingdom – 12 July 2025 (10/10)
It was clean and comfortable.
Lovely breakfast room
What could be improved: I was happy with everything.Superb – Maria from United States – 12 July 2025 (9/10)
The rooms were spacious, the staff very friendly, and the amenities included breakfast and a restaurant right on the hotel floor. The only thing we didn’t like was the location. It’s in an area where all the young people party and make noise in the street until 4:00 a.m. The good thing was that they left us earplugs. 🙏🏻
Brilliant location. Great room. Great breakfast. – Sally from Australia – 11 July 2025 (9/10)
Fabulous location. Almost at the foot of the Charles bridge in old Town. Room was very comfortable for the 4 of us. Bathroom was a good size with quality toiletries. Breakfast was great. 2×22 year old boys able to fill up for the day. I was initially concerned about no air conditioning but being able to open windows for a few hours at night did the trick. And we were provided with great Dyson fans to keep the air moving.
What could be improved: Stairs at the end of the day were a challenge – but happy to do it for the awesome location and old building charm.
