Hotel Description
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Little Chateau when I first spotted it on Nekázanka street – I mean, it’s tucked into this narrow cobblestone lane that most tourists probably walk right past on their way to Old Town Square. But honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. The building itself has this understated charm that’s very Prague – not flashy or trying too hard, just solid and welcoming in that Central European way. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense of calm that’s honestly refreshing after dealing with the crowds around Wenceslas Square (which is literally a five-minute walk, by the way).
What really got me was how the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood. When I asked about getting to the castle early to beat the tour groups, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward the tram – he told me about the shortcut through Kampa Island that locals use, and mentioned which cafés along the way would be open at 7 AM for decent coffee. The rooms are comfortable without being fancy – think clean lines, good lighting, and windows that actually open (surprisingly rare in renovated historic buildings). I’ll be honest, the walls aren’t completely soundproof, but Nekázanka is pretty quiet anyway, especially at night when the day-trippers head back to their cruise ships. The only real noise comes from the occasional delivery truck in the morning, and even that’s not too bad.
Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re genuinely in the heart of everything without feeling like you’re stuck in a tourist bubble. There’s a fantastic traditional pub called U Fleku about ten minutes away that serves some of the best goulash I’ve had in Prague, and the staff can point you toward the good stuff that isn’t mentioned in guidebooks. Parking is tricky (it’s Prague, what do you expect?), but there’s a garage about three blocks away that won’t completely destroy your budget. The 9.1 rating makes sense once you spend a night here – it’s not trying to be a luxury palace, but it delivers exactly what it promises with this genuine warmth that’s getting harder to find in European city centers. If you’re the type of traveler who values location and authentic local feel over Instagram-worthy amenities, Little Chateau is definitely worth considering.

Adorable clean little apartment
What could be improved: Picking up the keys is a pain – but it wasn't a difficult process just out of your way.Philippa from United Kingdom – 29 March 2025 (10/10)

We really enjoyed our stay. A very tastefully designed flat and also well-equipped. Excellent location in the centre, but quiet. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the balcony. Also, it wasn't a problem for us to get the keys from the office, it was just a 15/20-minute walk from there. Taxis aren't that expensive in Prague either if you have more luggage.
What could be improved: The pillow was too big for me, so I had to use the sofa cushion in the other pillowcase instead.Annabelle from France – 11 September 2024 (9/10)
The location of the flat is amazing, in a quiet street in the centre of Prague : very near the Mucha museum, you can easily access all of the old town and jewish neighborhood on foot and you are only a 10min walk away from Charles bridge. The building is clean and beautiful, with an elevator and the window and balcony of the flat (which you can easily enjoy a meal on) are overlooking a quiet inner courtyard. The flat itself is very cosy with everything you may need for a short stay, including cooking equipment, ironing equipment, storage for you clothes and things, washing machine and small dishwasher, etc.
I had a lovely stay there.
What could be improved: I knew it beforehand, so no surprises there but I had to get the keys to the flat at a different location than the flat, which is a bit of a waste of time when a key box could easily be arranged.
A few more towels would be appreciated : a small hand towel in the bathroom, in addition to the bath mat and the main towel and in the kitchen a tea towel wouldn't go amiss.Alexandra from Hungary – 2 June 2024 (9/10)
It’s a nice little place with an excellent location. The windows aren’t facing the main street which makes it a quiet, calm place. Ideal for relaxing, and especially suitable for those who want to get away from the daily rat race.

What could be improved: That we needed to travel to the other part of the city to pick up the keys. And the bed was horrible.Laurie from France – 19 February 2025 (9/10)
