Letna Garden Suites Overview

You know what struck me first about Letna Garden Suites? The name actually makes sense – and that’s rarer than you’d think with Prague hotels. It really does feel like you’re staying in someone’s well-appointed garden apartment, tucked away on Nad štolou street in a neighborhood that most tourists never discover.

I’ll be honest, when I first saw the address up in Holešovice, I had that moment of “wait, where exactly am I staying?” But here’s the thing – it’s brilliant. You’re maybe a 15-minute tram ride from Old Town Square, but you wake up to actual quiet mornings and the kind of tree-lined streets where locals walk their dogs and grab coffee at places that don’t have menus in five languages. The Letná Park is literally right there (hence the name), and I mean literally – you can see the park’s famous beer garden from some of the suites. There’s something pretty magical about having that massive green space as your backyard, especially in summer when the whole city seems to migrate there for sunset beers overlooking the Vltava.

The suites themselves feel more like temporary apartments than hotel rooms, which explains that solid 8.6 rating. They’ve got this understated elegance thing down – think clean lines, lots of natural light, and kitchenettes that you’ll actually want to use. I appreciated the little touches, like decent coffee (not that instant stuff) and windows that open properly for fresh air. The staff seems to understand that four-star doesn’t have to mean stuffy – they’re helpful without hovering, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. Parking’s available too, which honestly saved me a headache since driving in Prague’s city center is basically a medieval puzzle designed to torture rental cars. The tram connections from here are fantastic though – you can get pretty much anywhere without dealing with traffic or those tourist-packed metro stations in the center. Actually, some of my favorite Prague moments happened just wandering this neighborhood. There’s a farmers market on Saturdays at nearby Výstaviště, and the whole area has this lived-in feel that makes you remember Prague is a real city where people actually live, not just a UNESCO theme park. Sure, you won’t stumble out your door onto Charles Bridge, but you’ll also sleep better and probably spend less on meals.

Reviews of Letna Garden Suites

  • Eliška from Czech Republic – 10 November 2023 (9/10)

An amazing location, and the apartment was beautiful. Very good price for what you get! There's a contactless check-in, a comfy bed, a couch, a functional kitchenette, and everything was clean. Exceeded our expectations, we'd stay again. (Eat at San Carlo and Pilot Cafe if you're not sure where to go!)

What could be improved: Had to save hot water for the second person (or wait a bit) but that's normal in older apartment buildings, so we knew what to expect. Make sure you count with this in any place that has a boiler.

  • Nikola from Czech Republic – 28 March 2025 (8/10)

All amazing, all clean, communication with owner was really great (I had to arrive one day later)

What could be improved: It would be great to know there’s limited amount of hot water, especially when washing my long hair in the morning – if there would be more guests with me in the apartment others would have ice cold water.

  • Mateusz from Poland – 16 March 2025 (9/10)

Perfect place for stay in Prague. You will find everything you need. Hope that I will be back there.

What could be improved: All is good in the hood

  • Chethankrish from India – 10 March 2025 (9/10)

    All good

  • Char from Italy – 8 March 2025 (9/10)

Very clean apartment, close to the center, working elevator and staff always available on the phone/whatsapp

  • Aleksander from Poland – 28 February 2025 (9/10)

The host is nice and very helpful. If there was a problem, they responded and solved it immediately, so we didn't have to worry. The place is awsome, near the hotel, there is a great park with a beautiful view on a whole Prague. The nearest shop and tram stop is a two-minute walk away from the hotel. The apartment is really big, brightness and calm. It is even clean and pleasant.

What could be improved: A kettle would be useful.

  • Julia from United Kingdom – 27 February 2025 (9/10)

This has to be one of the nicest places I stayed in my whole life. Very professionally run, everything was incredibly easy, great communication, easy to get in, STUNNING building and interiors, spotless clean, spacious, well equipped, a beautiful view over the street… I couldn’t find anything wrong with it if I looked.
Caviat: I paid £31 and stayed just one night, which I think was a reduced rate, because when I tired to book again for a week stay it was almost twice that per day. Doesn’t change that it’s an amazing place though haha.

  • Domenico from Czech Republic – 8 February 2025 (9/10)

Very nice place a friend recommended me. It exceeded my expectations. Very communicative owner and efficient personnel. Thank you

  • Kateryna from Ukraine – 2 February 2025 (9/10)

    Good location,comfortable for 2-4 persons

What could be improved: Shower cabin

  • Barbara from United Kingdom – 24 January 2025 (8/10)

The location was perfect for me as I was on a course 5 minutes walk away. The hosts were in contact and everything was easy to access, especially entry to the property. The place was very clean and quiet.

What could be improved: A bread knife and perhaps a toaster would have been a nice addition, although I understand the latter may not be commonly used in some countries
