Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first walked up to 8 Orlická – it’s tucked away in Prague’s Vinohrady district, and you know what? That turned out to be exactly what made it special. Lenka’s got two options here: a red studio and a gold apartment, both sitting pretty in this residential neighborhood that feels authentically Prague without the tourist chaos you’ll find around Old Town Square.

The thing about staying in Vinohrady is that you’re living like locals do, which I mean, isn’t that why we travel? You’ll walk past the same corner bakery every morning (grab a koláč if they have them), and there’s this great little pub called Café Louvre about ten minutes away where Kafka used to hang out – though honestly, half the places in Prague claim that. What I loved most was how quiet it gets at night. You’re close enough to the action that Wenceslas Square is maybe a 15-minute tram ride, but far enough out that you can actually sleep without drunk tourists singing outside your window at 2 AM.

Lenka clearly knows what she’s doing – that 9.1 rating isn’t just good luck. The apartments themselves are… well, cozy is right there in the name, but it’s not code for “cramped” like it sometimes is. The red studio has this warm, almost intimate feel with deep colors that somehow make the space feel bigger, not smaller. The gold apartment’s got more room to spread out, which is perfect if you’re staying more than a few days or traveling with someone who needs their space (we all know that person). Both places are equipped like someone actually lives there – proper coffee setup, decent WiFi that won’t cut out during your video calls home, and those little touches like good hangers and enough outlets that you’re not playing musical chairs with your devices. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward key-pickup-from-a-random-café situation you sometimes get with these smaller places. And parking – if you’re driving, there’s street parking that’s not impossible to find, though I’d honestly recommend just using the trams since they’ll get you anywhere you want to go faster anyway.

  Comfortable, large, and airy apartment in a residential area, with plenty mini marts and cafes nearby. Close to metro station for access to the city centre. Lenka met us at the apartment and we were able to get in early. The apartment is well equipped with decent sized mugs (I hate small cups). The heating worked well. I liked the little touches like the Christmas tree.
  Cafefin is about a 5 minute walk away, and was a fabulous place for brunch. The apartment is on the 6th floor but there is a lift
  
  What could be improved: The property has a bath with shower attachment but no actual shower or means to use the attachment as a shower without holding it yourself. Not an issue for us but probably the first place we've stayed without a proper shower

  Bright and spacious place on the top floor of an appartment building in a quiet residential area. The studio does not just look good, but it is actually thoughtfully furnished for a comfortable stay, with sufficient storage space in the living area and bathroom for your stuff, and sufficient electrical sockets.
  
  What could be improved: There is one significant shortcoming: there are no curtains, and the blinds do not sufficiently block the light.
  And one minor complaint: There is an electric kettle and there are coffee filters, but no coffee maker (but there is a waffle maker—slightly weird prioritiy of appliances :D).

Its location was incredibly convenient, allowing easy access to local attractions, dining options, and public transportation. The apartment itself was impeccably clean, creating a welcoming and pleasant environment from the moment I stepped in.
  
  Moreover, it was equipped with everything needed for a several-week stay, from a fully functional kitchen with all the necessary appliances and utensils to a comfortable living area, reliable Wi-Fi, and a washing machine. These amenities made my stay not only comfortable but also very convenient, as I could easily prepare meals, work remotely, and take care of laundry without any hassle.

  Amazing owner who arranged for us leaving luggage before check in. Great location, a 5 min walk from the metro station and shopping mall, a very good coffee shop on the opposite side of the road (mugshot coffee).
  Comfortable, big, fully equipped flat with a big bathtub. The flat is on the last floor but a lift is there in the building.
