You know what caught me off guard about Legerova 33? The building itself looks pretty unassuming from the street – I mean, it’s this classic Prague apartment block that you’d walk right past if you weren’t looking for it. But honestly, that’s part of its charm. You’re staying in an actual neighborhood instead of some touristy bubble, and the 8.8 rating suddenly makes total sense once you get inside.

The apartments are surprisingly spacious for Prague standards, and I really appreciated having a proper kitchen – not just some mini-fridge situation. The owners clearly put thought into the details that actually matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. The Wi-Fi is solid (tested it on multiple video calls), and the beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been sleeping on a medieval torture device. What I loved most was the quiet – Legerova street has some traffic during the day, but it dies down in the evenings, and the windows do a decent job keeping the noise out. The whole Vinohrady district has this lived-in feel that’s way more authentic than staying near Old Town Square where every other building is a souvenir shop.

Location-wise, you’re about a 15-minute walk to Wenceslas Square, which sounds far but honestly isn’t – and you’ll pass some great local spots along the way. There’s this little Vietnamese place around the corner that locals queue up for (Prague has an amazing Vietnamese food scene, by the way), and the Náměstí Míru metro station is close enough that you can easily hop around the city. I actually preferred being slightly removed from the main tourist chaos – you get a better sense of how Prague actually works as a city. The grocery stores nearby are proper Czech chains, not overpriced tourist traps, so you can stock up your apartment kitchen without breaking the bank. Parking can be tricky if you’re driving, but then again, that’s Prague for you – I’d recommend just using public transport anyway. The three-star rating might make you think it’s basic, but it’s more like they’re being modest. Sometimes you find these gems that don’t need to oversell themselves because they know what they’re doing.

  Good value for the price. Contact with host was really great. It is possibile to self check-in. Comfortable beds. Good location – 15-20 minutes walk to city center. Wifi works great. Very good breakfast spot in the building.
