Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Kora Apartments? It’s tucked away on Hlaváčkova Street in a way that feels intentionally hidden from the tourist chaos, but you’re actually just a quick tram ride from everything that matters in Prague. I mean, most people obsess over staying right in Old Town, but honestly – this spot in Smíchov gives you breathing room without feeling disconnected.

The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense Czech architecture thing going on, and when you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about how people live, not just how they sleep for a night. The apartments are genuinely spacious (and I’m not just saying that because I’m used to cramped European hotel rooms). Each unit feels like a proper flat – you’ve got a real kitchen where you can actually cook, not just heat up instant noodles, and the living areas have enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The design is clean and modern without being sterile, sort of that Scandinavian-influenced look that’s everywhere now, but done well.

What really won me over was the neighborhood vibe. You’re walking distance from Anděl – which locals just call the shopping center area – and there’s this great mix of regular Prague life happening around you. Morning coffee at the little café around the corner tastes better when you’re watching actual Czechs heading to work instead of dodging selfie sticks. The Petřin Hill is close enough for those sunset climbs everyone raves about, but you can also just wander down toward the river and find yourself at Kampa Island without really trying. Parking is actually manageable here too, which anyone who’s driven in Prague will tell you is basically a miracle. The tram connections are solid – line 12 gets you to the castle area, and you can reach Wenceslas Square in maybe 15 minutes if you time it right. Evenings are pleasantly quiet, though you’ll hear the occasional tram rumbling by, which I found sort of comforting in that urban lullaby way. The staff seems to get that balance between being helpful and not hovering – they’ll point you toward the good beer spots (there’s a proper hospoda two blocks over that tourists haven’t discovered yet) but they’re not constantly asking if everything’s okay. That 9 rating makes sense when you experience the whole package – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Prague, but everything just works the way it should.

    The property was clean and cozy. The location is good, so easy to get to city centre by tram. Definitely recommend it 🤗

    What could be improved: The air conditioning didn't work, so we had to open the window, but the sound from the street was loud, so sometimes it was difficult to sleep.

    Flat was big, spacious with all facilities needed for short stay. Tram was just round the corner and it took 25 minutes to get to the centre.

    Excellent instructions on how to enter the property. Note: there is no reception. Very good service when I requested parking at the last minute. Lovely, warm, clean apartment.

    The apartments are new, clean, have everything you need: an equipped kitchen, dishes, a microwave, a refrigerator, a kettle, a coffee maker, coffee, tea and sugar sets, which is very nice. The apartment is warm, the Internet is excellent. It is easy to take the keys upon check-in, according to the instructions, and there is also very quick contact with the apartment manager. We asked for an earlier check-in and they provided it to us, which helped us plan our day of arrival more rationally, for which special thanks! The apartment is located 2 minutes walk from the bus stop, which is very convenient.

    What could be improved: Construction has begun on the neighboring street, if there are apartments with access to this street it may be noisy, but only during the day.

    Nice apartment, quiet, very close to a supermarket, some smaller restaurants nearby and just some steps away from a tram location with many tram lines. We loved it.

    What could be improved: The fridge is quite loud and maybe the one pan should be replaced. But everything else was great.
