Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Klimentská 52 Residence, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t your typical hotel. The building sits on a quiet street in Prague‘s New Town, and honestly, I almost walked past it the first time — it blends so seamlessly into the neighborhood’s historic architecture. This four-star property feels more like stepping into someone’s beautifully renovated Prague home than checking into a standard hotel. The entrance is understated but elegant, which I actually prefer to those flashy hotel lobbies that scream “tourist.”

The Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s what I love about this location — you’re literally a five-minute walk from Wenceslas Square, but you’re tucked away from all the chaos. Klimentská Street itself is this perfect mix of local life and accessibility. There’s a tram stop right around the corner that’ll get you anywhere in the city, and I mean anywhere. You know what’s really nice? In the evening, when the tour groups have cleared out, you can walk to Old Town Square in about ten minutes through these beautiful cobblestone streets that feel completely yours.

The Space Itself

The room I stayed in was spacious by Prague standards — and trust me, that matters in this city where some hotels feel like glorified closets. Everything felt thoughtfully designed, from the modern bathroom to the comfortable seating area by the window. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), and there’s plenty of storage space for longer stays. What struck me most was how quiet it was at night, despite being so central — the windows do a great job blocking out any street noise.

Daily Rhythms

Mornings here have this lovely, unhurried feel. The breakfast setup is more intimate than what you’d find at larger hotels, which means you’re not fighting crowds for coffee. The staff genuinely seems to remember guests and their preferences — small touches that make a difference when you’re staying several days. I spent quite a bit of time just planning my days in the common areas, which have this relaxed, residential vibe that makes you want to linger over your coffee.

Why Guests Love It

Look, Prague can be overwhelming with its tourist crowds and endless hotel options, but this place gets the balance right. You’re close enough to everything that matters — Charles Bridge, the Castle, all those incredible restaurants in Lesser Town — but you come home to something that feels peaceful and personal. The couples who stay here clearly appreciate that mix of accessibility and intimacy. It’s the kind of place where you can have an intense day of sightseeing, then retreat somewhere that doesn’t feel like you’re still in the middle of the tourist machine. Plus, the value is solid for what you get — this level of comfort and location in Prague, especially with those consistently high ratings, isn’t something you stumble across every day.

Lovely place!

The apartment was absolutely lovely! Very comfortable and clean, well equipped with all you may need. The location was excellent, very close to the old town and so many lovely restaurants literally next door!

What could be improved: Due to the very high temperatures, the apartment was very hot inside. There was only one fan but it didn't cool the air, so sleeping was very hard :(
