KK Apartments Overview
So I stumbled across KK Apartments during one of those frantic last-minute Prague booking sessions, and honestly? It turned out way better than I expected for what you pay. The place sits on Bubenečská street in Bubeneč, which – and this is key – puts you in this perfectly residential neighborhood that most tourists never see. You’re basically living like a local for a few days, walking past the same corner bakery and dodging the early morning joggers heading to Letná Park.
The building itself is pretty typical Prague apartment block style, nothing fancy but solid in that Eastern European way where you know it’ll outlast us all. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – I mean, you’re far enough from the Old Town chaos that you can actually sleep, but close enough that a quick tram ride gets you anywhere you want to go. The 20 tram stops literally around the corner and takes you straight down to the center, though honestly, I found myself walking a lot because the route along the river is just gorgeous. Takes about 25 minutes on foot to Wenceslas Square if you’re feeling ambitious.
The apartments themselves are… well, they’re apartments. Clean, functional, with that slightly dated but charming feel you get in a lot of Prague rentals. The kitchenettes are small but actually work – I made coffee every morning and picked up groceries from the Tesco about five minutes away. What struck me most was how the staff seemed to actually care about the place running smoothly. Check-in was straightforward (though definitely call ahead about arrival times), and when I had a minor issue with the shower pressure, someone came up within an hour to sort it out. You know what though? The real win here is the location knowledge you get from staying in Bubeneč. There’s this little wine bar called Vinárna U Fleku – not the famous brewery, just coincidentally similar name – about three blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise. And if you’re into that whole “Instagram-worthy Prague” thing, the walk through Kampa Island and up to the castle from here hits different than the usual tourist route because you’re approaching from the north side.
Look, this isn’t going to be anyone’s luxury vacation story, but for a solid 3-star experience that actually feels connected to the city rather than floating above it in some generic hotel bubble, KK Apartments delivers. The 7.2 rating feels about right – not perfect, but definitely good enough that I’d book again. Especially if you’re the type who likes exploring neighborhoods rather than just hitting the major sights. Just pack some comfortable walking shoes and maybe download a tram app, because once you figure out the public transport from here, you’ll realize you’ve got access to a Prague that most visitors miss entirely.
Prague hotels range from charming boutique properties in the historic Old Town Square to elegant castle-view hotels and modern accommodations near Wenceslas Square.

The location is really nice, beautiful parks nearby, easy to commute to the city center, apartment is nice and clean.
What could be improved: The only tricky thing was that the apartment is located on the 5th floor and there’s no elevator so it’s quite hard to get all the luggage upstairs.KK Apartments Prague – Eva from South Africa – 16 June 2024 (8/10)
KK Apartments are very spacious and ideally located in town. Although it is close to many night spots, the apartments have double glazing, and one can get a good night's sleep. The kitchen is equipped with everything should you wish to make meals.
