Iris Hotel Eden – Czech Leading Hotels Overview

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to the Iris Hotel Eden on Vladivostocká street – the area feels a bit residential and quiet, which actually turned out to be one of its biggest strengths. You’re tucked away from the tourist chaos but still close enough to everything that matters in Prague. The building itself has this understated elegance that grows on you, and once you step inside, you realize this place takes itself seriously without being stuffy about it.

What really struck me was how the staff genuinely seemed to know their stuff. I mean, not just the usual “turn left at the cathedral” directions, but actual insider knowledge about which tram to take to avoid crowds at Prague Castle (take the 22 early morning, by the way) and where to grab decent coffee that won’t cost you a small fortune. The rooms are spacious by Prague standards – and trust me, I’ve stayed in my share of shoebox hotels in this city – with these lovely high ceilings that make you feel less cramped after a long day of walking cobblestones. The beds are actually comfortable, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many four-star places mess this up. I also appreciated the blackout curtains because Prague summer mornings start ridiculously early, and the soundproofing is solid enough that you won’t hear every tram rattling by.

You know what really sets this place apart though? It’s the little things that show they understand travelers. The WiFi works everywhere (including the elevator, which I tested because I’m weird like that), there’s always someone at the front desk who speaks proper English, and they have this quiet confidence about recommendations – when they tell you to try a restaurant, it’s actually good, not just the place that gives them kickbacks. The location puts you within easy reach of Vinohrady’s restaurant scene, which locals love but tourists often miss because it’s not in the guidebooks. I found myself walking to dinner most nights instead of taking transport, which is rare for me. It’s the kind of hotel that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than in a tourism bubble, if that makes sense.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Prague at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous cultural festivals and outdoor concerts.

Reviews of Iris Hotel Eden – Czech Leading Hotels

  • Adam from Hungary – 31 August 2023 (9/10)

Very kind and helpful staff. You can see that they work as a team for the hotel's good reputation. I also congratulate the management. They are doing something right. Nowadays, it is not easy to find and keep such workers..
Special thanks to Dalia at the reception, who helped us with everything. 😍

What could be improved: I think the quality of the restaurant could be improved. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious, but dinner consists of simple, heated dishes. It would be nice to have 5-6 dishes that are freshly prepared.

  • Elie from Italy – 30 March 2025 (9/10)

The hotel was clean, breakfast is great and staff very helpful. Our stay was very comfortable and smooth. Easy access to tram and public transportation. Parking is available. I would definitely recommend and surely will return in the near future.

  • Daphne from Netherlands – 26 March 2025 (9/10)

Even though it was only for one night, I can say it was one of the best hotels I have been to! The hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly, car parking was good and the rooms were excellent. It was little hot though but the staff explained that it had to do with the winter season in Prague.

The location is perfect. There is a shopping mall nearby and the public transport (tram) is nearby. We were in the centre of Prague within 20 minutes.

  • Racic from Bosnia and Herzegovina – 24 March 2025 (9/10)

Everything, the staff was very polite and helpful. The room was clean, had everything you need. The tram stasion is close so you can go anywhere in the city. Would recommend 10/10. Can't wait to come again

  • Julia from Ukraine – 21 March 2025 (9/10)

The rooms are always perfectly clean. Great breakfast.
In addition, there are always pleasant gifts in the form of a small souvenir from Prague or candies.

  • Burtsev from Russia – 17 March 2025 (9/10)

As a frequent traveler, I’ve experienced accommodations of all kinds, but this hotel truly deserves the highest praise. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations.

The room was spotless, featuring modern furniture and a spacious, well-equipped bathroom—a perfect blend of comfort and functionality. Despite being away from the city center, the transport connections were excellent, making it an ideal place to not only explore the city but also get a glimpse of authentic Czech life.

A special surprise was the lively atmosphere around the hotel due to a local football match, creating a festive mood. Yet, thanks to the superb soundproofing, the room remained a peaceful haven.

The on-site restaurant offered a decent variety of dishes, while the bar served fantastic drinks, making it a great spot to unwind. But the true highlight? Breakfast. Simply outstanding! A vast selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, homemade yogurts, delicious spreads, and artisanal bread—a paradise for any food lover.

What made the stay even more memorable was the exceptionally friendly staff, always greeting with a smile and ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Considering the high quality of service and amenities, I still can’t believe how affordable this hotel was. Without a doubt, I will absolutely return and highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone visiting! A perfect 10/10!
