Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Hybernska 26, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star apartment hotel. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming places end up surprising you the most. The building itself has that classic Prague charm without trying too hard, tucked right into New Town where you’re actually living among locals instead of just tourist traps.

What really got me was how practical everything felt. I mean, these aren’t massive luxury suites, but whoever set these apartments up actually thought about what travelers need. The kitchenettes are small but functional – I could make proper coffee in the morning and heat up some of those amazing Czech pastries from the bakery just down Hybernska street. The Wi-Fi actually works (shocking, I know), and the heating keeps up with Prague’s moody weather. Honestly, after staying in too many hotels where you can’t figure out how to turn on the lights, it was refreshing to have everything just… work. The 8.5 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it delivers on what it promises without any weird surprises.

Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place though – the location is genuinely perfect if you want to experience Prague like someone who lives there. You’re a five-minute walk from the Powder Tower and Old Town, but you’re not paying Old Town prices for everything. There’s a little Vietnamese place around the corner that locals hit up for lunch (trust me on this), and you can walk to Wenceslas Square without dealing with the tourist crowds on your doorstep. I actually found myself using the apartment as a real base – coming back mid-day to drop off shopping bags or take a break, which you never do in regular hotels. The neighborhood gets quiet at night too, so you’ll actually sleep, but you’re still close enough to stumble home from the beer gardens in Vinohrady. The tram connections are solid if you want to explore beyond the center, and honestly, sometimes it’s nice to grocery shop and cook a simple dinner instead of restaurant-hopping every single night. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re staying in Prague, not just visiting it.

  The apartment was very spacious, neat and well equipped. The location was ideal, as the Old Town Square was a 10 minute walk away. The hosts were very responsive on message. There was a washing machine and a dish washer, which made things very convenient.

  Pretty close to the Center, about 15’ walk, windows facing inner yard and pretty quiet. Very spacious and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped with cutlery and plates. Staff helpful.
  
  What could be improved: Mattresses are rather hard. No soap and hand soap in the kitchen, no basic kitchen necessities such as salt, coffee or tea (and sugar). Are travelers who come for just a few days supposed to bring their own? Up until this year all basic kitchen and bathroom necessities including coffee, tea and salt, as well as soap, shampoo, hand soap were available in apartments for short term rent all over Europe. With the rent prices growing steady, providing such necessities would definitely significantly increase ratings and satisfaction.

  Lovely, clean two bedroom apartment with plenty of facilities very close to old town square. Very easy to gain access unlike many apartments. No keys required.

  Walkable distance to old town, bus station and train station.
  Beds were surprisingly comfortable.
  Good value for money. They provided what was necessary for the stay but is a no-frills accommodation.
