The neighborhood itself is quieter than Old Town (thank goodness), but you’re still close enough that you don’t need to plan your day around transportation. Couples especially seem to get this — they’ve rated the location 9.5 out of 10, and after spending time in the area, I totally understand why. The cobblestone streets and historic atmosphere create an authentic Prague experience that many visitors cherish.

Your Room and Comfort

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star hotel — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Nothing fancy, but everything worked perfectly. The beds are actually comfortable (not always a given in European hotels), and the bathrooms are modern enough that you won’t be dealing with any unpleasant surprises. What struck me most was how quiet it was at night, despite being in such a central location. The windows do a great job of keeping out street noise, ensuring peaceful rest after long days of sightseeing.

Now, about breakfast — this is where Hotel William really surprised me. They offer everything from continental to full English, plus vegetarian and gluten-free options. The buffet setup works well, and they even do breakfast to go if you’re planning an early castle visit or day trip. I appreciated having American-style options too, which isn’t something you always find in Prague. The restaurant area gets good morning light, making it a pleasant way to start your day before heading out to explore. Fresh pastries and quality coffee complete the morning experience beautifully.
