Hotel Victor Overview

So here’s the thing about Hotel Victor – it’s tucked away on Husitska Street in Prague’s Vinohrady neighborhood, and honestly, that’s kind of perfect if you ask me. I mean, you’re not going to be in the thick of Old Town tourist madness, but you’re also not stuck in some soulless business district either. The area has this lived-in feel that I actually love – real cafés where locals grab their morning coffee, not just places designed for Instagram.

The hotel itself is pretty straightforward, no pretense about being something it’s not. It’s a solid 3-star place that delivers exactly what you’d expect, maybe a little more. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though don’t expect marble bathrooms or anything fancy – we’re talking functional European hotel vibes here. What I appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, which honestly surprised me given that you’re still in a pretty central part of the city. The staff at check-in were genuinely helpful too, not just going through the motions. They actually knew the neighborhood well enough to give decent restaurant recommendations (there’s this little wine bar about three blocks down that they pointed me toward – totally worth it).

Location-wise, you know what’s great? You can walk to Wenceslas Square in about 15 minutes, but when you want to escape the crowds, you just head back to Vinohrady and suddenly you’re among tree-lined streets and local pubs. The tram connections are solid from here – line 11 stops practically around the corner, and that’ll get you pretty much anywhere you need to go. I found myself using it to hop over to the castle district instead of dealing with the tourist-packed metro lines. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving, but honestly, in Prague you probably don’t want a car anyway. The neighborhood has enough going on that you can easily grab dinner or drinks within walking distance, and there’s a decent grocery store nearby if you need to stock up on water or snacks – trust me, you’ll want both after a day of Prague sightseeing. For what you’re paying, especially considering Prague’s hotel prices these days, Hotel Victor gives you that sweet spot of being comfortable without breaking the bank, plus you get to experience a slice of the city that feels more authentic than the heavily touristed center.

Reviews of Hotel Victor

  • Very good – Sabrina from United Kingdom – 21 July 2025 (8/10)

It was clean when we arrived, the receptionists were lovely and the design of the hotel was very cool! The location is very near tram/bus stops and very convenient to get to the centre

What could be improved: The main bedroom lights were very dim, though there were bed lights that helped with the dimness

  • Very good – Bart from Poland – 25 March 2025 (8/10)

Nice old bulding, but well maintained. Quick checkin and nice receptionist. Spacious and clean rooms.

  • Great beer & comfy stay – Kinga from United Kingdom – 2 February 2025 (8/10)

An absolute “must stay” place for the beer lovers. We have started our stay from ordering some food and beers from the brewery and even though it was a bit late to order the kitchen wet above and beyond to serve a warm meal. The beer was also great.

The room was really spacious and there was plenty of furniture, so there was no problem to leave our luggage and unpack a bit. Beds were really comfy and the air was really good, I had a great time resting at this hotel.

The staff was really helpful and very accommodating, despite the late check-in. We felt very welcomed and had a great time in this place.

The main reason we chose Victor Hotel was the pub, but to our surprise the quality of the rooms was also good 🙂

Check out was also super smooth and very quick.

    TV SIGNAL

  • Great location, cleanliness could be improved – James from United Kingdom – 15 October 2024 (7/10)

An excellent location. All of the staff were friendly and the price was good.

What could be improved: Whilst it was okay, there is certainly room for improvement in terms of cleanliness. There were several areas that have seemingly never been cleaned and others that could do with more attention.

  • Good affordable accommodation just a short walk from metro stations. – Houliston from United Kingdom – 29 August 2024 (8/10)

    24hr reception. Affordable.

What could be improved: Dated interior

  • Good – Syed from Germany – 29 July 2024 (7/10)

Everything was really good. Especially the staff, they were really friendly

What could be improved: The room was really hot and there was no air circulation in the room

  • I would definitely comme back! – Rapinski from France – 21 July 2023 (8/10)

Slightly removed from the busy tourist center, yet close to everything. Very close to the train station, which is particularly convenient.

  • Very good – Smichael414 from Sweden – 7 July 2025 (8/10)

Cosy little hotel with friendly staff. Good location in Zizkov with lots of nice pubs, restaurants and quirky shops. Close to the central station.

What could be improved: A bit confusing with the breakfast, one morning we choose from one menu and another time we had to order the night before and the third time it was a buffet. Good food though!

  • Good – Ashley-yates from United Kingdom – 23 May 2025 (7/10)

The property had a lot of character.

    What could be improved: N/A
