Honestly, when I first walked up to Hotel Unique on Uruguayská, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the street’s pretty quiet, tucked away from the main tourist chaos around Wenceslas Square, but that actually turned out to be one of its best features. You know what struck me right away? The building has this understated elegance that feels very Prague without trying too hard. It’s got that 4-star polish without being stuffy about it.

The location is genuinely smart if you know Prague at all. You’re basically in Vinohrady, which means you get that authentic residential vibe where locals actually live and work, but you can still walk to the city center in about 15 minutes (or take the metro from Náměstí Míru, which is super close). I mean, you’ll pass actual neighborhood bakeries and corner pubs on your way to the Old Town – the kind of spots you’d never find if you stayed right in the tourist zone. The 8.7 rating makes sense when you realize you’re getting quality without paying those ridiculous Old Town prices.

What really sold me on the place was how they handle the details. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no pretentious ceremony, just helpful staff who actually know the neighborhood and can point you toward decent restaurants that aren’t tourist traps. The rooms themselves have this modern comfort thing going on without being generic hotel-chain boring. Actually, the soundproofing is surprisingly good considering you’re still in a city – I barely heard street noise, which is saying something in Prague. The only minor thing I’d mention is that some rooms face the courtyard (quieter) while others face the street, so you might want to ask when booking if noise is a concern. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which anyone who’s driven in Prague will appreciate. The whole experience just felt… well, like staying somewhere that gets the balance right between being professional and being human about it.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Prague at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous cultural festivals and outdoor concerts.

  All was perfect. The room is spacious, beautiful balcony and bathroom. Breakfast was above average with a good variety. The staff was very nice. Close to metro and you can get to the city center in max 20 min. All in all I can only recommend this hotel.

  Very nice place. I arrived on an extraordinarily hot day, and the room was fresh without having this airconditioning climate. The room had a little terras, and the upper rooms have balconies. The staff was very friendly, breakfast, facilities, equipment and consumables were ok. In front of the hotel is a 24h shop, which gives an assuring feeling when coming home late.

  Hotel was clean, breakfast was good, staff were good and helpful asrranged a taxi for us to go back to airport.. We worked out on the last day a quicker route into the main area, close to supermarkets and close to trams, beautiful lobby area.
  
  What could be improved: We had alot of noise outside even after shutting door. ( was quite warm and don't recall air con or fan in room) bed topper kept slipping off, the plug in air fresheners can be quite overpowering

  Perfect location, 3 minutes from metro line A and B. Rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. Excelent breakfast and staff. Would like to thank to receptionist, who managed to book a parking for us in another hotel in a really short time.

  Very nice staff.
  Great breakfast.
  Very cozy, stylish hotel.
  Ancient staircase.
  My friends and I took two rooms. They were connected by one entrance.
  It was comfortable and very cozy.
  Although it is further from the center. But there are great restaurants around. Not as crowded as in the center.
  And you can reach the sights in max 30 minutes.
  
  What could be improved: It's difficult to park a car. The hotel recommended us to park in special parking lots. We didn't do it before arriving so we didn't get it. But for us helped the staff. They have other options for weekends for parking on the street near the hotel. Thanks to the staff, we solved the parking problem 🙂

  The property seemed old with lots of character . The room was lovely, large and very clean. The breakfast was amazing, something to suit everyone.
