Hotel Superior Prague Overview

Look, I’ll be straight with you about Hotel Superior Prague – it’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and honestly, that’s exactly why it works so well. When you’re walking down Legerova Street (which, by the way, connects perfectly to Wenceslas Square without you having to navigate Prague’s sometimes confusing medieval layout), you might almost miss it. The entrance is understated in that distinctly Czech way where they don’t feel the need to announce themselves with flashy signage.

The thing that struck me right away was how the staff actually seemed to know Prague – I mean really know it, not just the tourist spots everyone recommends. When I mentioned I was looking for a decent late-night meal that wasn’t goulash for the third time, the guy at reception immediately suggested this little Vietnamese place two blocks over that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms themselves are… well, they’re proper rooms. Clean, comfortable beds that don’t creek when you move (you know how annoying that can be), decent water pressure in the shower, and windows that actually open – which is more than I can say for some of those international chain hotels where you’re basically sealed in a climate-controlled box. I stayed on the fourth floor facing the courtyard, so it was surprisingly quiet for being right in the city center. Though I should mention, if you’re here during summer, that courtyard can get a bit echoey when people are having conversations down there in the evening.

What really sold me on this place, though, was the location without them making a big deal about it. You’re literally a ten-minute walk to the main train station (Hlavní nádraží), which means easy airport connections, but you’re also close enough to Vinohrady that you can wander over there for dinner and feel like you’re seeing how actual Praguers live. The New Town area right around the hotel has this great mix – you’ve got your tourist necessities within reach, but also plenty of regular cafes and shops where the barista might give you a slightly puzzled look if you don’t at least attempt “dobré ráno.” I grabbed coffee most mornings from this tiny place called Café Slavia (not the famous one by the river, just a local spot) about three minutes away, and it became this nice little routine. The hotel’s breakfast was perfectly fine – nothing spectacular, but fresh bread, decent coffee, and they had actual butter, not those weird margarine packets some places try to pass off.

Reviews of Hotel Superior Prague

  • I’m a first time solo female traveller and this was my first time in Prague and I’ll definitely be coming back and woul – Katelyn from Australia – 24 July 2025 (9/10)

Staff were great and super friendly. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. It was great value for money; with the breakfast spread being excellent as well. Location was good with the town centre, transport, restaurants and grocers being a short walk away.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Good place, close to the center, but not noisy. – Ieva from Latvia – 24 July 2025 (9/10)

Good location, good stuff, air conditioning saved our visit as it gave an option to take a breath, as it was quite warm while we visited Prague.

What could be improved: Breakfast ended up being a bit crowded, but we managed to find a table. Although it could be because of the weekend tourist flow, and nothing to do with hotel management.

  • Nice hotel – Dominika from Slovakia – 17 July 2025 (9/10)

The room was comfortable and cleaned daily, it was really just what we needed as we were out all day. Our room was facing the backyard and there was absolutely no noise at night. The staff was soo nice, especially the ladies looking after us during breakfast. Great location in our favourite Vinohrady and very close to the center.

  • Superb – Francesca from Italy – 13 July 2025 (9/10)

The hotel was very nice, close to IP Pavlova metro station but also at a walking distance from Vaclaveske namesti (5 minutes walking) and the city center (10-15 minutes walking). We never used metropolitain during our stay. Central train station is also very close (10 minutes walking) and you can get the bus for/from the airport there.
Breakfast at the hotel was continental, with lot of choice and also with some sweet choices. The room was right size, bath with a big shower, and cleaned every day.

What could be improved: The room was too hot, there where no A.C. but only a fan cooler.

  • Very good – Kilian from Austria – 11 July 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: The Bed was too hard, but thats the only thing i can complain about.

  • Very good – Tatyana from Israel – 9 July 2025 (8/10)

    yes&yes

  • Amazing trip and amazing stay in the hotel – Lena from Canada – 7 July 2025 (8/10)

Our stay at the Superior Hotel was excellent. The location was ideal for reaching out all main planned items we wanted to visit. We were mostly walking to the site seeing and dining restaurants. Couple of times we used metro or tram to get where we needed to. Everything was really easy to find and reach.
In the hotel we were really satisfied with very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was amazing, good choice of the products, always fresh food, amazing bread selection (I love bread and pastry and was very happy about the selection that was present there). Amazing coffee very tasty and different in a good way from what we have at home.

What could be improved: The mirror in the bathroom I did not like – it was really high in the wall I could not see myself in it. I am not tall person, but I do not know how tall you should be to see yourself in that mirror LOL. It was just one item that I did not like at the hotel in my room. Not critical at all so I did not mention it at the reception.

  • Good – Sophie from Georgia – 5 July 2025 (7/10)

    The breakfast was very good.

What could be improved: The room is dark, there are few power outlets, you either have to turn on the light or charge your phone. They wouldn't give me an iron without a deposit.

  • Pleasant, comfortable and magical. – Edwin from Germany – 30 June 2025 (9/10)

The breakfast was wonderful and the location both the breakfast room and garden offered aesthetically pleasing settings to enjoy, the wonderful service.

What could be improved: The Sauna access is not communicated as an extra charge in advance which gives a false promise for gets willing to enjoy the experience that comes with an evening session.

  • Very good – Minotnap from Poland – 25 June 2025 (8/10)

    Breakfast were amazing.

What could be improved: The smell in the rooms.
