Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Hotel Salvator? The building itself – it’s tucked into this perfectly preserved corner of Prague’s Old Town on Truhlarska Street, and honestly, you’d walk right past it if you weren’t looking. Which is actually kind of perfect because it means you’re staying somewhere the tour groups haven’t discovered yet. The facade has that weathered elegance that makes you feel like you’re part of the city’s story, not just passing through it. When I first walked in, the lobby had this lived-in warmth – not fancy, but genuinely welcoming in a way that made me think the staff actually cares about whether you have a good time.
The location is what really makes this place special, though. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from Old Town Square, but you’re on this quiet side street where you can actually hear yourself think. Truhlarska connects you to everything – Wenceslas Square is maybe ten minutes if you take your time, and there’s this little cluster of authentic Czech pubs nearby that haven’t been turned into tourist traps yet. The Powder Tower is right there too, which sounds touristy but it’s actually a great landmark when you’re trying to find your way back after a few Pilsners. What I loved most was how the neighborhood comes alive in the evenings – you’ll hear locals chatting on their way to dinner, street musicians occasionally, but it never gets rowdy or overwhelming.
For a three-star place, they really get the basics right. The rooms aren’t huge (this is Prague, after all), but they’re thoughtfully laid out and the beds are actually comfortable – I slept better than I expected. The bathrooms are compact but modern, and the water pressure is solid, which matters more than you’d think after walking around cobblestones all day. Check-in was smooth, no drama, and the front desk folks spoke excellent English and seemed genuinely happy to give recommendations. I asked about parking and they sorted it out without making it feel like a huge inconvenience. That 8.6 rating makes perfect sense to me – it’s not trying to be luxury, but it delivers on what it promises and then some. If you want to feel like you’re staying in Prague rather than just visiting it, and you don’t need a spa or room service, this is exactly the kind of place that’ll make your trip memorable for the right reasons.

Reviews
Great location to prefer – Ferhan from Turkey – 4 July 2025 (8/10)
Location is perfect. It is close to the old town, boat tours and many attractions. You can walk many attractions. There is also a tram and bus stop very close to the hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. Towels and bedsheets are quite clean and there were enough bath towels for four of us. There is also a restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel is very close to Palladium shopping center, where you can buy whatever you need. The staff at the reception desk are kind and helpful.
What could be improved: The only thing I didnt like is that the rooms are hot. There are fans in the room but they are not enough to cool the room. We stayed at the fourth floor ,maybe thats why the rooms are hotter. They must find a way to keep the rooms cooler. It is my second stay at this hotel, when we stayed for the first time, it was June, so the rooms arenot so hot, but this time it was sometimes hard to sleep at night. Apart from that, everything was perfectWe can stay again – Kubra from Turkey – 3 July 2025 (8/10)
Very good location. Clean. Has a kitchen ready devices to cook, table, freezer. Room was very suitable for family.
What could be improved: No air conditioner but the weather was not so hot.Exceptional – Jessica from United States – 3 July 2025 (10/10)
Great location and beautiful room.
Fantastic hotel with delicious breakfast, an interior courtyard, and very helpful staff. – Christine from United Kingdom – 2 July 2025 (9/10)
We were three girlfriends on and we shared a suite. It was really roomy. We loved the breakfast, and the interior courtyard where you could eat it. It was fantastic having such a good restaurant in the hotel. We even discovered a cool entertainment space downstairs for guests which had games and things. The location was very central, close to the Jewish Quarter. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Superb – Lorna from United Kingdom – 21 June 2025 (9/10)
Ideal location, very relaxed atmosphere and staff really helpful
What could be improved: Nothing.Exceptional – Tom from Israel – 19 June 2025 (10/10)
Great location, great breakfast!
Rooms was clean, spacious and well kept.
Would definitely come back in future visits to Prague.
What could be improved: The room has no AC. Though we didn't mind, the weather was perfect and not too hot.
The room did had a fanSuperb – Charles from United States – 16 June 2025 (9/10)
Very stylish hotel, cute, great layout, colorful interior.
Good location for a short stay – Pavel from Canada – 11 June 2025 (8/10)
Good central location to Old Town and most city attractions
What could be improved: Our room was facing the front to the street which was little noisy at nightThorough enjoyed and will recommend to friends – Yen-yen from Australia – 7 June 2025 (10/10)
Food was very good. Michelle and I were pleasantly surprised when arriving at Hotel Salvator.
We loved the style and everything was clean.
All staff were very friendly and helpful.
What could be improved: We were unable to criticise any portion of our stay at all.
The only downside is we couldn't stay any longerA good spot for a weekend break within easy walking distance of all Prague’s major sites – Andrew from United Kingdom – 6 June 2025 (8/10)
Cracking location, chic decoration in the communal areas, helpful staff and great value for money
What could be improved: Our rooms were on the top floor and without air conditioning, so were very hot given the humid June weather.
This meant we had to leave the windows open during the night and there was plenty of noise from other guests leaving and/or returning to their rooms
