Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Raffaello Prague? I expected another generic business hotel on Legerova Street, but this place actually has some personality. The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying where locals live – you’re just off the main tourist drag but still close enough to walk to Wenceslas Square in about ten minutes. I mean, you’re practically next door to the State Opera, which is pretty cool if you’re into that sort of thing, and there’s this great little Vietnamese restaurant around the corner that the front desk guy told me about (Prague has amazing Vietnamese food, by the way – leftover from the communist era).

The hotel itself feels more boutique than chain, even though it’s got that solid four-star reliability you want when you’re jet-lagged and just need things to work. The rooms are actually spacious by European standards – I could open my suitcase without having to climb over it to get to the bathroom. The design leans Italian (hence the Raffaello name, I guess), with warm colors and decent lighting that doesn’t make you look like a zombie in the mirror. Honestly, the beds are comfortable enough that I slept through the tram noise from the street, though if you’re a light sleeper, maybe ask for a room facing the courtyard. The WiFi works properly throughout the building, which you’d think would be standard everywhere by now, but well… you know how it is.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to actually know Prague – not just the obvious tourist spots, but like, where to get good coffee that isn’t overpriced (there’s a place called Café Savoy about fifteen minutes away that’s worth the walk), or which tram line gets you to the castle without dealing with the crowds on the metro. The breakfast setup is solid without being fancy – good bread, decent coffee, and they don’t run out of everything by 9 AM like some places do. Checkout was smooth, and they stored my bags for a few hours so I could wander around before my evening flight. It’s that kind of practical hospitality that makes a difference when you’re trying to squeeze every hour out of a trip. The 8.2 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Prague, but it delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re exploring a city.

Reviews

  • Daryna from Ukraine – 31 August 2024 (9/10)

Comfortable location just near metro and tram stations. Also hotel is not far away from the main railway station and the city center. I‘m completely satisfied with everything, especially with a polite stuff and delicious breakfast.

What could be improved: No significant drawbacks

  • Christopher from Australia – 29 March 2025 (9/10)

    Nothing bad ,all good .

  • Dmitry from Ireland – 23 March 2025 (8/10)

I liked pretty much everything. The location is excellent, everything you need is just withing 2 minutes walk, and its located right to the metro station. The room where I was staying was clean, spacious and cosy. The breakfast was on a decent level too, everything from eggs to different kind of pastries.

  • Victor from Philippines – 22 March 2025 (9/10)

Near at tram and metro station 🙂 they clean the room everyday 🙂 and all the staff are kind and helpful 🙂

What could be improved: UnAccesseble like in the hotel entrance you need to use stairs just for using the elevator unconvinient for those having heavy or more luggage, also you need to check in at different hotel in hotel noir.

  • Chandni from United Kingdom – 24 February 2025 (9/10)

    Location & cleanliness

What could be improved: Was expecting at least 1-2 bottles of drinking water. The linen and pillow cases were not fresh had body odour probably from previous guest

  • Omar from Egypt – 8 February 2025 (9/10)

    Clean room and nice breakfast

What could be improved: Reception is not in the same building.
Not luggage friendly, lots of stairs to enter and to reach the elevator

  • Andrej from Slovakia – 28 January 2025 (9/10)

A bit older 4* hotel close to the Museum, very close to the metro station (red). Unusual is the check-in is in another hotel close by, but breakfast is in Raffaello. It was clean and quiet with comfy beds.

What could be improved: It has a bit older furniture but is clean- no problem.

  • Hiba from United Kingdom – 12 January 2025 (9/10)

The room was clean and spacious. Location is good close to the tram station.

What could be improved: Breakfast 😔

  • Hanne from Netherlands – 28 December 2024 (7/10)

I enjoyed the very spacious room. It was reasonably clean and had a good atmosphere and comfortable bed and bathroom. The breakfast was good and of course the location is convenient at walking distance from the main train station.

What could be improved: There is no reception in the hotel, to check in you have to walk across the street to Hotel Noir and use their reception. This is inconvenient, also if there would be any needs or questions during your stay. It seems just a way to cut on costs.
Also, the staff had forgotten to empty the waste bin next to the sink in my bathroom, so I found waste of previous guests there.

  • Lucie from Czech Republic – 15 December 2024 (8/10)

Room was very clean and quiet. We didn’t hear any noise from the main street.

What could be improved: I would not book breakfast again – the food were alright, but there is limited seating for the guests and the staff didn’t manage to take away the plates from previous guests so you had to sit at a table with dirty dishes all around you.
